so i said im gonna give this thang more love. but i forgot. so here it goes.
the other night, i went to a shoprite in mt ivy ny, and they had blue packs of oldschool power rangers cards for 50 cents each in a vending machine. i bought them all, and they were amazing. they each came with 8 cards and 1 pog. it brought back memories like woah, and gave me a small erection. from then on, ive been going to every shoprite, pathmark, kings, or any type of grocery market within a 20 mile radius trying to find them, and many attempts have been successful, and some have not. apparently the japanese are fucking crazy and love that moolah. so there are about 40 dfferent KINDS of power rangers cards made, and wouldn't you know, the blue packs with the pogs that i love oh-so-much are the rarest. so i resorted to ebay- VERY BAD IDEA - because its like wal-mart: you cant turn down the deals! theyre TOO good. now, i know i wasnt looking for an entire box of series one power rangers cards, but come on, it was 6 DOLLARS. i couldnt resist. so after spending 90 dollars on OTHER amazing power rangers stuff (colorforms, stickers, magnets, and mainly cards) i remember that the only reason i came here in the first place was to find the specific BLUE packs with 8 cards and 1 pog: series 2.
FINALLY i find someone on ebay express selling them for 50 cents a piece, plus 4 dollars shipping. it also said he had 90 available. i jizzed me pants, cleaned myself up, and ordered 30 packs of them - surely enough to complete the pog AND card collection that im oh-so-o-c-d about. $18 bucks was the total: reasomable, considering thats how much they were in the machine (50 cents) and to have them shipped to my door was a meesley 4.95. RAPE - the truest definition of the word.
all sounds good right? yea. until i get an e-mail saying "youre transaction for $18 bucks has been cancelled & refunded". immediately i knew the $18 they were talking about was for the blue packs that i wanted more than anything. i open up the e-mail, and the message from the seller is "i regret to inform you, but we have had a major snowstorm and our warehouse COLLAPSED UNDER ALL THE SNOW. im not sure how many, if any, of these we will be able to find, let alone salvage, but please wait to hear from us before you re-order. sorry".
WHAT THE FUCK. what are the god damned chances of that. we havent had snow all fucking winter here, but out of the 20 things ive ordered off ebay this month, the ONE that the snow has to fuck up, HAS to be the one i was most excited about. no matter what, even if it stays away, i will always hate the fuckin snow. stupid porch monkeys ;)
