First post of 2009
Happy New Year everyone! I wish everyone a year that is better than 2008 was.
We kind of got snowed in yesterday, so we didn't go anywhere. We just stayed home and played Lego Indiana Jones, ate pizza, and watched Highlander (we TiVoed the marathon that was on last week). Oh, and I read the entire second half of Confessions of an Ugly Stepsister. I liked it a lot more than Wicked. It was less abstract and much closer to the classic fairy tale. There were certainly some differences, but mostly it was told from the step-sister's POV, and Cinderella wasn't quite the angel she's usually portrayed as. It was also a whole lot less depressing than Wicked was. Although I might just be biased. I love Cinderella stories in all incarnations, and I'm not all that big of a fan of Oz.
Today I'm trying to catch up with friends. I'll always be the world's worst pen pal, but I do try occasionally.
