So let's see here... First of all, I "fixed" my computer. Turns out the processor was running a little hot, and slightly hotter than the warning temperature setting in the BIOS. This caused the processor to slow itself down because it thought it was going to melt. After a bit of research, we found that the warning temp in BIOS was set on its lowest setting, 50 degrees, the processor's max temp rating is 90 degrees, so we set the BIOS warning temp up to 60, and it's running just fine now.

Has anyone else read Jedi Trial, the prequel novel with Anakin and Nejaa Halcyon? After reading the first 30 odd pages, which equals 4 or 5 chapters, I have now flung it down twice in utter disgust. It looks as though it were written by a 10 year old. The writing is so pitiful I can't even stomach it! It's full of short sentences, with pathetic descriptions and action sequences, and half of the sentences aren't even sentences! I'm glad I didn't pay money for it. I would love to learn more about Nejaa, but I just cannot force myself to read this crappy prose. The library emailed me to tell me Yoda: Dark Rendezvous is in. I'll pick that up tomorrow or Tuesday, but in the mean time I'm going to read Sister of the Dead.

We went up to New Hampshire yesterday, as there is a huge shopping area just across the state-line. We're all of 20 minutes south of the state line, so it's actually slightly closer than the Best Buy we typically go to. The mall was mediocre, but it did have a Hot Topic, though Hot Topic doesn't have any good Star Wars stuff right now. We found a Barnes & Nobles, and I picked up Sister of the Dead, which is the third in the Damphir trilogy by Barb and J.C. Hendee. They're a series of fantasy novels about a vampire hunter, and I really liked the first two.

sajuka picked up three new video games, all greatest hits (Best Buy had them 2 for $30). Lego: Star Wars, Grand Tourismo 4, and God of War, which he is playing right now. We also got an additional fan for my computer to assist with it's cooling issues, but alas, my motherboard doesn't have any additional sysfan plugs, so we can't plug the silly thing in. I'll have to return it and buy a powered, non-monitoring fan.

We thought about going to see V for Vendetta this weekend, but I have laundry to do and he has games to play, so we'll go a night this week or next weekend.
