*yawn*

Whew, what a weekend! Today was actually a holiday for both sajuka's and my offices, so we both had a 3 day weekend, which I am very glad we had. Last night I fell prey to stress and overwhelming pressure that culminated in another terrifying teeth nightmare. *sigh* Today was actually pretty productive though, and I was able to scratch a couple of important things off my list this weekend, so I am feeling better now. Hopefully this means no psychotic nightmares tonight.

I baked 2 loaves of delicious banana bread today, after we ran to the grocery store to pick up several items, including milk and eggs (the latter of which was required for the baking). We finally got our passport photos taken today, so now I can go to the Post Office on Wednesday and apply for my passport. That will allow us to book a trip to Jamaica in order to check out medium-sized wedding party options at an all-inclusive resort. (sajuka only needs to renew his passport, which he can do through the mail I believe.) We also went to Target and bought a large Sterilite 4-drawer rubber storage chest, which we plan to put in the closet in the office in order to organize the mess that is lots of small boxes stacked precariously on top of one another. This is phase 2 of the "Tame the office" project. Step 1 was purchasing several storage bins so sajuka could organize all of our miscellaneous computer parts.

This weekend I also ordered new replacement filters for the humidifier online, and the orange jumpsuits for the X-wing pilot costume. Those should both arrive sometime next week. Let's see, what else? Well, I cleaned up the kitchen a couple of times (before and after baking the banana bread), did two loads of laundry, finished Survivor's Quest, and shoot - completely missed the Olympics tonight! Ah, well... I don't really care about ice dancing anyway.

We also looked into the possibility of moving to a larger apartment in our complex. It is basically the same setup as our current apartment, but with a loft. There are quite a few unknowns at the moment though, such as the future of my employment status, so I think we've almost decided to just sit tight for a while longer. Oh, and I did some research into pianos, because I am really hoping to purchase an upright very soon. I can't describe how much I miss playing, and the stupid keyboard I have just doesn't cut it. I want a real piano, damn it! I've just never puchased one before, so there is a learning curve.

Tomorrow I have to go back to work, where I also have a lot on my plate, including some phone-based usability testing with complete strangers which has had me a little bit worked up lately. I'm hoping it will go well, and that it will sooth my anxiety about the next 8 calls I have to do after I finish the 2 tomorrow. I also intend to email a professor at school and attempt to beg for assistance in the most dignified way I can manage. I'm not having any luck with this whole thesis thing on my own, and I really need to seek guidance. So, that's on my agenda for tomorrow too.

All right. It's past my bed time, and I'm really tired. G'night!

goals, dreams
