It's insurance. LJ is getting more stringent about adult material posted to communities. To make sure nothing happens to the christmas-cacti community or the moderator journals, we have to make sure that everyone who participates is of legal age to view adult material in case any is posted (and it most likely will be).

Have you tried asking your friends list? Sometimes beta readers work better with you if they know you better, but if not, I can be your beta. :) That's, uh, what I'm here for, actually. ==;
