Law, Libations, and Life

Man, I've been a touch busy.

This week, I've been up late spending time with old friends and prepping for the Pagans and the Law presentation. Jonesy and I have seen each other pretty much every day on that. We did not feel prepped or organized, but did it anyways. We got there and the place is packed and hot. That night was also the silent auction to raise money for the Witches Ball on Oct 20. So, a big turn out of about 70 folks. Unfortunately, a few people left too and I got a little nervous and upset. I felt abandoned there by my really close friends. I was mad, but then let the anticipation of the group take care of that until later. I get a few websites up on the board along with a couple quotes. And once we got started, Ryan and I hit it like naturals. We fed off each other, filled in the gaps while the other mentally prepped for the next section. We answered questions, backed each other up, and had a great time. So much so that we agreed that night that we need to do this again. Research a topic together and present the information to the group. And the group took it great! Questions, stories, information too. And we raised over $750 (well over the $400 or 500 budget we anticipated!) I was able to to get a couple of choice items, including a beautiful Green Man cover for my drum!

After the break, we had a smaller, more intimate group discuss child custody and then we closed up. Mandy and Mary B explained why they left and I ended up being cool before the end of the night. We retired to On Tap where I proceeded to get rather drunk. In my drunkedness, I somehow volunteered for the Psychic Fair the next day. I did 8 "Spirit Portraits" where I did a guided meditation with the person to get some insite into their inner world and then did a brief watercolor sketch of that information. It was a great success. Mandy was rockin with many more reading and we had bone readings, reiki, massage, and spirit chats. Fun stuff. Then I had to race home to place Drow the rest of the night. All in all, a great weekend.
