Chris vs Peavine Falls
Weekend Review time kids, so gather 'round!
Friday night, I spent pretty much the whole time at the shop. I watched Blazing Saddles with Mary beth and the rest on Mitchel's new screen and painted another free fairy in the kitchen. Once we were settled, we headed to mellow mushroom for some calzone' goodness.
Then, Saturday.....Oh by all that is good and holy in this world, my legs hurt!! Everytime I try walking a ways, my knees try to buckle under me. Stupid muscles.
But, it's totally worth it. Saturday hike to Peavine falls was awesome. More people should come. Just remind me not to follow through with a Ryan idea when I realize the Ryan idea involves going off the main trail and over the side of a mountain. It was shorter, yes, but I'll be paying for it all week. The falls, though, were wonderful. Cold from the thaw and rain. Jasmine and dogwoods in bloom. Gavenia searching for special rocks and fossils. Melissa climbing barefoot up the side of a two story rock for the hell of it. Mary Beth and Ryan dozing on a large flat stone in the middle of the river. Munching on food and laughing at one another. It was wonderful. I just wish my body had been up to all the climbing. It can only get better from here. We might try some other outdoors stuff too. Pictures to come when I get them.
Eventually, we went home and bathed so that we would feel like people again. Then back to the shop. We drummed, grabbed Roly Poly and watched Riddick. Mary Beth and I kept falling asleep on the big leather couches during the movie.
Sunday was my sister's Bridal Tea. I promptly fell down when I got to Joyce. Stupid leg muscles and heals. But it was a nice tea and Lauren got good stuff. We are planning the Big B party too. Gotta get Lauren out and having fun before she's all hitched. I then spent the better part of the evening with Tanner, just talking and grabbing a quick dinner. Then a bit of time with Mandi and Mary beth. I seriously am getting a reading tonight. I need the guidance so bad.
Brain muddled now. Must go work more. Damn.
