So, I was reading up on
Full Frontal Nerdity when I realized that they are ACTUALLY making it. I'd heard rumors and whispers along the lines, but it seems that
Marvel is producing the Dark Tower Comic and it has officially been confirmed! Yep, they're doing a series, set to release the first arc in February of 2007, based on Stephen Kings epic series about a gunslinger wandering cross worlds. The art work, a few teasers on the previous link, will be produced by
Jae Lee Woot.
On a slightly related note, Connor Cochran met with Lion Gates films today to discuss a new release of
The Last Unicorn on DVD. The previous release was horrible and Connor has been listening and gathering up all the fans suggestions for extras to accompany the wide screen and dolby remastered animation of Peter Beagle's novel. Everything from interviews to unicorn lore to previews of "Two Hearts" the sequel to Last Unicorn were suggested. Hopefully, we will find out in a day or two what Lions Gate thought and are willing to work on. Oh, and Peter Beagle WILL be at Dragon Con this year. Sweet.
Lastly, with OWOD and Evil game fallen through, I knew a few people are wanting to perhaps look into another game. I'm looking into who, when they are available, what games they want to play, what games people are wanting to run, and where they might be held. I know that I have all the books needed for Dragonlance, Serenity, Sovereign Stone, and books on regular 3.5 DnD and Rokugan. Plus, a myriad of White Wolf between me and James. Top that off with getting the Feng Shui books from Mike, thats my library. I know that Ryan's been trying to get a Cthulhu game going. So, you local geeks, Who's Game?
On a less geeky note, I spent yesterday in an STD/STI training. Too.. many.. photos. Bleh. But Jen and David came over yesterday and we had dinner at Taj. mmmm... Then a little gaming and DDR at my place. Deans now working at Liberty Animal AND Subway, so she's not gotten in the DDR she's wanted. I'm getting better too. Talked to Laurie too. Always glad to geek out with her for a bit.
