Breaking the law and breaking out girlie stuff.

So, the weekend perked up.

I woke up Saturday morning at 1:45am. The storms were getting really bad and shortly, our electricity blinked out. I turned on the radio when it came back on. They were saying that there were circulations and funnels forming along 280, specifically near Roebuck and Greystone (Where my grandparents live). I tried to stay awake to make sure nothing was immediately threatening us. The next time I woke up, the storms had gone completely. Fortunately, my family was alright. Plus, my sister in TN is fine too. We avoided the tornado zombies.

Saturday morning, I took Dean down to Culinard Bakery for the first time. We had some stuffed croisants, danishes and coffee. I even picked up a loaf of raisin and walnut bread for our enjoyment. After a shower and reading, I purchased some tickets to see NIN and Bauhaus in June. I'm currently reading an interesting book "Sex in the South: Unbuckling the Bible belt." After a run in with an article about her orgasm experiences and her conservative town in Arkansas, the author decides to strike out and see the alternative sexual lives across the south. These non-fiction short bits about her experiences are amusing, if a little too sarcastic for my liking. But fun.

Jared let me know HIM is also playing in Atlanta in May. I'm seriously considering going to that concert too.

I finally convinced Dean to leave the apartment after some DDR and Internetting. We went shoe shopping for summer shoes. Then late lunch and we dropped by my parent's place. I borrowed a few books from my old library and gave her a tour. Then I raced home, painted my toe nails, and got dressed for game.

On my way to Empire, I needed gas. I stopped off at the gas station just before getting to DQ and the Starbucks. So, I gas up and since I hate that turn, I drive through the parking lot and turn beside the DQ. At the light, a cop pulls into the turn lane and another sits beside me. We make a joke about how the cop beside me seems to not notice he has a green turn light. Anyways, I pull through on green and then turn into the first entrance into the strip when I see lights go on from the cop behind me.

"What the...? I didn't have time to speed and my lights should all be working.." I ask Dean. She shrugs. The cop, a young guy, comes over to the car.

"Can I get your ID and insurance card?" he asks. He runs the info and my tag. He, of course, gets nothing. "Where were you ladies headed?"

"Right here, actually," pointing to the comic store.

"Well, I'm sure your wondering why I pulled you over. I was just being paranoid that you were trying to avoid me by cutting through the parking lots."

What the? Of course not. I freaking work for the county. Anyways, he apologizes nicely and tells us to have a nice day. I didn't need those last couple of hours to my life anyways....

LARP: Game was slow, but actually rather enjoyable. We've got alot of plans and we're finally getting the feel for the system and our characters.

Sunday, Jeremiah, Lyndsay and I were the only ones for some Sabor. It was good, we talked geek and sex and life. Woot. Then we just chilled at my place (Lyndsay played dress up in my kimono) until I had to take Jeremiah home and head to Ryan's game. Game was more so us goofing off and making jokes than actually playing, but that's fine. We got a couple things done.

Meaningful Phrase: "So, we'll distract the other army by summoning dolphins to fuck them. A freaking sea mammal menage a' troi's. Propositions by porpoises."
