I'm very tired. I am taking a break from docket to write an entry because I am too tired to really eat right now. But totally worth it.

Tuesday: I get a call around 3:30 from Jessy- Her plane has been delayed some. That was fine, especially since Kady had to leave the office for the jail and leave her daughter with me. I left the office after 5 and met Brandon at my place. I checked the time of the flight a few time, and each time it kept being pushed back. We finally decided to just head to the airport. When we get there, it flight STILL has at least another hour. So, we duck over to Century Plaza. We shop a bit and say hey to Grendel before heading back to the Airport. We wait around for a good while longer before she finally arrive 2.5 hours late. I had had some food prepared to be made for dinner, but due to the late hour and the fact that we had 2-3 more people staying for dinner, I called Dean to tell her to order something. Unfortunately, James picked up wings...only 20 for 7+ people? So, while Jessy got settled in, David and Dean cooked up the food plus some for Brandon, Jessy and I. We decided to make it a low key evening, so we played some Betrayal and DDR. We traded some gifts. I gave Jessy the cloak with the clasp I put on it and the match skirt sewed by Llewelyn. She loved them. She gave me a blue and silver ring band that matches one she has. It looked wonderful with the sapphire ring I sent her. She also spoiled me with a heart bracelet as well. She loved the watercolor of our avatars from Gaia.

Wednesday: I really didn't know what Jessy would want to do. I offered up Vulcan Park, the Gardens, hiking, shopping, and so forth. Since Elizabeth City is pretty short on stores, she decided to go to the mall. Dean joined us for Galleria cruising. Jessy found some Marilyn Monroe cards and I considered a book on Unicorns. We then played DDR at the arcade. I was really pretty bad at it, but Dean and Jessy were really kicking butt. One of the guys that worked there traded us some tokens to get our last song. He's one of those people who's played the game ALOT and was just flying through some pretty hard stuff. Jessy also found a little fake aquarium at the Disney store for Elle, resisting the urge to buy a few other things. We ran into Chris, Robert, and some people Dean knew. As we were leaving, Llewelyn called to say my garb was ready, so we popped by to pick it up. It turned out awesome. I think I like it better without all the frogs and it fit perfectly. We thanked her and chat a moment before Dean suggested Panera for lunch. We detoured to the Summit and munches sandwiches and soup for a bit. Then up to Legion where Jessy got lost in the manga for a bit and we joked about her favorite vampires being Tremere (rarrrr). Lyndsay called while I was looking at gaming books and met us up there. The four of us agreed, since the weather was so nice, that we should go to the park. Dean and Lyndsay went to get changed and get Loki from Liberty so she could play with us too. Jessy and I took a long scenic route through southside and then picked up some groceries for the trip. We met at Homewood park where we played with Loki and tossed he frisbee. There was this cute kid there that took one of the frisbees and tried to throw is though he could barely hold it. Dean ended up giving him one of the three. Just too cute.

Jessy and Dean swung on the swings a bit and then we headed home. I called in some reservations at Brio's for dinner for the two of us and Ryan and Lyndsay. We got dressed. Oh.. my. Jessy had bought this black short dress with white trim and lace. So cute and sexy!! I stuck with my pink shirt and slacks. I was glad I got reservations. The place was PACKED for a Wednesday night. But the food was good. Lyndsay wanted wine but lost her ID. So Jessy took charge and ordered a bottle that we all shared, despite the fact that Jessy only took a few sips. Not a bad choice either! We had lasagna, salmon, crab cakes, and a lobster pasta. Of course, we had to split a Triamisu as well.

We went on home where peoples met up for a few. Brandon, Jeremiah, and Daniel decided to join us at Stars for some karaoke. Jessy convinced me to sing two songs! Eep. I same Meet Virginia and we sang My Immortal together. Despite not really being much of a singer, I had a great time. I finally had to call it quits when it got to be 2am! We still had to get to Mississippi the next day!

Thursday: We woke up with plenty of time to finish packing. Patricia was running late to meet us, so I went ahead and filled up the car while Jessy caught up on the internet and talked to some people back home. Seems there was some drama all week, but she took it well and, regardless, had a good time.

Patricia finally arrived. We swung by Joe Mugs so that Lyndsay could give me some meds and the girls purchased some bread for dinner that night. Then, we hit the road. We made wonderful time, despite three stops and the rain. We got there with good weather. We unpacked, got into garb, then picked up sodas from town. When I returned, Jessy found a brown bottle in our tent: Green Tea Bragget!! Jacosa's brews are awesome. A little treat.. just for me! I brought that puppy home for sure. She also is going to make a whole batch just for me and Cullen if we give her funds for supplies. Mmmm...Following, Edward the Slightly Confused made his "Edward's Drunken Chili" for dinner. Good, but a bit too spicy for the Jessy. After a drink, we decided to walk around. Most of the vendors were closed and the events done for the day, so we just came back to camp. While we waited for Shadow Legion's Heaven Party, Ragnaven (an online friend) tracked me down and said hey. He's part of Shadow Legion and dressed up for the event. We wandered the camps, my drum at one side, Jessy on the other, looking for trouble. When we found little at the other camp sites other than the Cult of Bob, we went to the Heaven Party. Lots of people in wings and robes, plus plenty of free alcohol. As soon as I unstrapped my little drum, the other drummers tugged me into the circle and, shortly, we were stirring up some rhythms for dancing. Jessy and I took a break to get a chair and let her change into bellydancing garb. She danced a bit, but mostly watched while I drummed more. We got tired, so left my drum with Cullen and we crashed after a long day on the road.

Friday: We woke up pretty early in our tent and got dressed for a day out and about. I handed out the Clan Confused St Patty's Day shot glass necklaces- a big hit! Heh. We picked up ice for the camp and did a lap around the eventing areas. We considered doing some horseback riding, but decided it wasn't worth the money and we wouldn't even be allowed to ride the SCA part of Gulf Wars. Instead, we shopped, watched some of the fighters, and even helped a bit at the Herald Point (coloring devices). Jacosa's group really pushes volunteering at events. Every hour you spending helping out earns your house and kingdom points. The two of us were only there a short while, but many of the people in our camp put in 10-20 hours a piece over the days they were there. While were shopping, I got a new pair of boots and a drum. Jessy got a bellydancing top and some jewelry. We had lunch at the Garden of Eaton: Gyro for Jessy, Grapeleaves for me. There was just so much to see.

After being out and about all day, Cullen made his jambalaya, I took a nap while Jessy hung with him since the rest of the camp went to court. We ate very well that night. After dinner, we went to the Auction. They hold this auction for four years now. They typically raise money to buy supplies for the Seven Deadly Sings party the following night. This year, a good part of the money went to the event's charity: a fellow SCA was diagnosed with rare bone cancer and needed funds to help with her treatment. They auction off donated items and services provided by volunteers. Two of the girls we were with were auctioned off as a massage pair for $135. Sparkey even got the guts and volunteered to be auctioned. A pair of nice ladies bought him to help load up their stuff the next day and be their escort to parties that night. After a girl was sold for $425, along with various other goods and services, we went back to camp to get ready for the Known World party. Jessy filled 6 fruits with cloves and filled her hat with them. Rowe called and said he'd be at the party too, so I filled Jessy in on him while we walked.

The party was packed. Free homemade brews, food, fire breathing (Edward and Patrick) and dancing, along with drumming and middle eastern dancing. Jessy and I passed out the fruit to some good looking men. She didn't realize who Rowe was until after she'd given him a fruit and kiss. Me.. jealous.. never! heh. We spent a while there, watching the entertainment and sipping Lemon Ginger brews. Finally, when the last of the beer was gone, we helped Baron Kojin take some of his stuff back to his camp and met with up Edward and Patrick. The five of us wandered a bit before sitting at the Garden of Eaten. We drank and joked for at least an hour. Edward "talked to one of Rowe's friends" in a very Edward manner and even left her a message that was rather silly. When Rowe started to massage me, Jessy got a bit tired and decided enough was enough. (Remember, folks, my girlfriend is also a pro wrestler). So we headed back to camp. Rowe joined us at our fire for a while before we finally stumbled to bed at 3 am.

Saturday: Friday night was bitter cold. Anytime I had to leave the tent, I came shivering and poor Jessy had to get me to calm down so I could be relaxed enough to sleep. We slept late and unfortunately woke to rain. After some debate, we decided that more cold and rain would only lead to sickness. We packed up our things when the rain cleared enough. I talked to Ryan to let him know we were heading back to town and he filled me in on his crappy week. On our way to the car, we stopped in a couple of vendors. Thats when we found the snail puppet to cheer up Ryan some. We got some gas and then finished packing up. Sparkey even helped, despite being worn out from helping the ladies that purchased him the night before. We hit the road about 4 pm, Sparkey joining us.

We got back to Birmingham around 9 after a nice long meal in Meridian. Exhausted, Jessy and I got our stuff in and started to get cleaned up. Even before I got my turn at the shower, Patricia and Sparkey were passed out on the couches. We told Brandon we didn't feel up to hanging out that night.. and for good reason! Jessy and I talked for a while, feeling a great deal better and then sleeping in late again.

Sunday: We talked for a good while in the morning, just lounging and knowing we really didn't have to be anywhere until that night. She said she wanted to play in our Dawn Forge game. We eventually got up and chatted with people. We decided to get lunch at Sabor. Brandon, Robert, and Ryan joined us and Ryan loved the snail puppet. We also agreed to do game early since everyone was off work. So, I ran Jessy by the other Legion before game. She then insisted on getting snacks for game, which were very appreciated by the guys. Game was slow, partially due to Ryan not being in the mood, but we had fun just goofing off. Jessy and I even passed notes during the game, giggling and being rather distracted. But it was so nice to have her right beside me, so close while having fun with friends. It was like she'd always been there.

We headed out of game around 11 pm. But, instead of home, met Adam and Ryan at Bailey's for a drink. D-Rock was there to see his friend's performance and this scary guy offered us drinks. We headed home around 1. Dean was on the couch, so Jessy and her played some DDR while Ryan and I talked in my room. We hung out for a bit longer before we finally called it a night at about 3 am. I crashed very hard, talking softly and nestled in with Jessy for one more night.

Monday: The alarm unfortunately went off and I got Jessy to the airport on perfect time. I'm dead right now, but totally worth it. I got a call from Jessy in Charolette: her flight was delayed due to a hole in the cockpit. She doesn't like to fly already and being stuck a the airport didn't help any. Hopefully, she'll get home soon.

To everyone that we spent time with: Thanks for making Jessy feel so welcome. She loved you guys and we had a blast. Missing her horribly already.

Back at it. I'll get some pictures up from Gulf Wars when Pam can get them off her Camera.

Meaningful Phrase: "Imma Cut-chew!" Patricia
