One thing and Another

Mar 09, 2006 08:28

Things have been relatively busy.

Monday: Work. Dean made some awesome stuffed peppers for dinner. We munched on them for a couple of days. Definitely going to have to make those again. Not too hard either. Mmmm... Jonsey came over and chilled most of the evening. He was a bit down so I went ahead and gave him his Birthday present: pool cue with case.

Tuesday: Work. Leftovers with the Cullens. Caravan over to BSC to see Emmy's Senior recital. Roscoe and a few other peeps there too. I think the music was good. I can't quite get the hang of modern music and its experimentations with sounds and technical stuff. I can appreciate the concepts.. sorta. Ice Cream afterwards!

Wednesday: Work. Found out about 2 of the four suspects for the church burnings were BSC students. Ugh. Went down to Fletcher's for MCP meeting. My uncle from Dora and my cousin drove by so I talked to him for a moment. Jonsey and Thomas joined the crew.

On that note: Ted and Ellen showed up early and ate dinner with us. Ellen filled me on on the happenings of a pagan circle in Bibb county. Steve, a casual member of MCP, is a part of this group. He was sorta seeing a girl in the group who happened to be family with a head official on the police staff. When the church burnings happened, she became the police's "pagan expert." She outed the entire group in Bibb county (telling who was pagan), along with their children. As well, she also pointed out some of her students (she's a teacher at a local school)without the consent or knowledge of the principal. To top it off, she also clued them into ECRM and MCP, giving them contact information to reach us.

While I don't think anything will come of it, its insulting, as Ted put it. This girl just wanted to be an "expert" and try to show that "see, the pagans didn't do it." Sure, alright... but you do NOT hand out that information without the consent of those individuals!! While we'd LIKE to be able to let anyone and everyone know about us, many of us prefer to stay private due to family or work situations.

Ugh. Anyways, the rest of the meeting was good: talking about various alternative medicine techniques- tae chi, reiki, herbs, and stones mainly. We had two reiki healers, to tae chi people, one registered nurse, and a smattering of other skills to contribute. Very informative. Good food too!

Coming up: Less than a week until Jessy gets here. Still have alot of cleaning to do at the apartment and in the car. Need to get the car checked out after work tomorrow. Need to pick up a few things at the dreaded "Walmart!" Need cat food, towels, a few things for the trip. Yep, busy Shwiggity.
