I love and hate Ryan. But I also love my girl.

I made the mistake of taking Ryan up on a second drinkings last night. Ryan, I cannot find a better way to both love you and hate you than the fun we had and then the hangover this morning.

Ryan and Jared were going to Fox and Hound on 280 for dinner and drinks. Hadn't seen Nelson in a while, so Ryan suggested I go along. Food was wonderful, tons of beers on tap, wonderful conversation ranging from geek to relationship, from politics to religion to jokes. It was cold and wet outside, but for some reason, we wandered the parking lot for like half and hour after dinner, continuing to talk.

So, Ryan and I head back to my place, but Jones in a Jones fashion, detours to Sakura's at 11 pm. We have four bottles of sake and 3 hours of more conversation, mostly about politics. I got to talk about an old case I worked on and Ryan talked about some of the issues he'd want to change in the state of the union. It was wonderful. We sobered up some and headed home around 2 am.

Around 7 am, Dean pounds on my door so that I'll turn off my alarm I'm sleeping through. Yes, I did make it to work on time.... ugh. Then, turn around and head up to Metro Bistro for lunch with Ryan and Robert. I walked five blocks in the cold after forgetting my gloves and scarf for a damn good Turkey Reuben.

Heart: I did get to talk to my girl last night. Always good to talk to her and I'm going to try and talk to her more regularly than we had been. Taken to writing letters too. I want this to work. Regardless of distance, but I'm reasonable and understanding should things not work. I'm smitten, sure enough. And we're trying to work it out for her to come visit, perhaps the first week or so in March. Huzzah!

Meaningful Phrase: "We invade a foreign country to uphold a concept of freedom that nearly no one understands And yet, here we cannot even save the life of a healthy 2 year old boy and then punish an innocent man while the murderer gives birth to the same man's child or ensure the safety of a very capable woman in the middle of a populated area where people are watching!"

politics, ryan, jessy
