If only days could be eaten...

The weekend started off below par, but it got better. First the bad, then the good

Wrist:
Went to see my surgeon/sports medicine person Friday morning. Dad came with me. The summary: It’s most likely a cyst, fiberous. “Bible Cyst” as they call them. He highly recommends the surgery. But first, due to the tingling I get sometimes in my fingers, he wants me to see a neurologist to get some tests done. They want to make sure it’s not carpel tunnel or see what might be causing the tingling. At that point, they can figure out what they want to do, then the physical. And THEN they can schedule the surgery, which might take 30 days to get into an outpatient location. Yes, they will have to put me under since they will have to cut down to the bone and tendon to get the bits out. They will also send the cyst to be tested… just incase. And then I go through physical therapy. After the surgery, I should be back on track in about 3 weeks.

This means the May trip to Atlanta to paint is out. I need to e-mail David Harmer about it and see if perhaps this summer or the fall I can come over instead.

Friday was relaxing. I had breakfast with Dad, lunch with Mitch at the shop. I read, listened to music, helped at the shop, did bead work, and hung out. A low key day (except for the numerous children that showed at the shop all at once).

Saturday I started the day slow with beadwork (OMG this is becoming addictive, but keeping me sane since its hard to draw. Though I’m gonna try painting and see how bad that is. I found a felt pen that’s not as bad too). I watched movies and got ready for Spamalot. We had a great time. The performance was hilarious, on the ball with inside jokes and puns and sight gags and fourth wall stuff. Afterwards, Surin didn’t open up for an hour, so we popped into The Wine Loft on northside. Randy and Cindy know the owner, so Mike let us in early where we tasted wines and cheese. I SO have to learn how to make their baked brie. After that, we got to Surin for dinner where Marie and Rachel took real good care of us all and we had wonderful food. Stuff and happy, I realized it was way late for the social, so just went to LARP. Game was pretty good. I save the world… again and got shot right here.

Sunday was nice too. Perfect weather for driving, so after I watched some TV movies and finished beading, Cullen and I ran errands. We had lunch at a place where Ryan was applying for a job.  It’s called Crustasians. It is bar with Vietnamese food and bar food and pool tables. Definitely need to go there now and then. The staff was awesome and the food was tasty. Unfortunately, it’s all the way out in Pelham. Once back on southside, a hike up to Vulcan Trail to watch the sunset. That was the icing on the cake for my great weekend. I then got one of the Rooster Teeth buttons I bought to Tanner and had muffins there.

Twas good.

Project: Was talkin' to Mitch about the possibility of an online magazine for B'ham written by a few of us and that I wanted to be a food critic for it. Well, that might mean that I'd have to start eating meat.... unless I became B'hams Vegetarian and Vegan Food Critic! It seems like a good idea.

Meaningful Phrase: Serious Fiona is Kinda Drunk!!!!
