I had one last query out to an agent; she had asked for three chapters. I had sent her the prologue and three chapter of the revised version. Today I received her response.  It said that normally she's not the agent who can read a partial and make a decision. Until me.

I'm deflated. Agent rejected. Sigh. Dreams of big publishers gone. Poof. If I haven't gotten a full request or found 'my' agent by now, it ain't gonna happen. Wasn't meant to be. I only queried on a whim anyway.

Ok, so Publisher #3, who got a full right off the bat, rejected. She loved the premise BUT she had some notes on it and invited me to resubmit. So yay!

I'm not going to revise just yet... the other two publishers still have the manuscript. But this editor had some good points. What would you do? Revise and let the other publishers know you did? ( Read more... )
