I got a letter from Southern Connecticut's Library Science dept. I GOT IN! I'm not "IN" in, I still have to get into the school itself. Which I won't until I finish this semester and send a final transcript. I think it's pretty much a formality at this point; I can't imagine the school would deny admission to someone the department thinks is worthy.
I have a program plan to fill out and to send to my advisor so I can finalize everything. BUT...I haven't yet heard from Rutgers. I don't want to say YES until I know about them. Not that I think Southern's a lesser school, but they're not a NJ school. I know I'm getting all the approprate courses to get the School Media Certification with the MLIS that I need for my state. I mean, I know it's three courses that I need, and I can find out if Southern's will cover it - I think they will.
There's also the issue of the "Special Project" Southern requires in lieu of a thesis. Not that I'm opposed to projects, but it's something to think about.
I hope Rutgers gets on the stick and decides soon - I don't want to leave myself hanging. Then it's all about filling out financial aid forms and paying for Grad School.
