The wheel must be turning...
The wheel of fortune must be turning (as I often forget it does) and no longer crushing me. Not only did I get the interview call today, but I got a SECOND interview call for a resume I sent months ago.
I am acquaintances with the assistant to the Head of School - it's a private school. A Friends School, specifically. They were 'impressed' with my resume - and I interview for a Middle School Science/Math teacher next week! Math - that's kind of scary, especially since I'm not a big 'math person'. I also have to give a 20 minute MATH LESSON as part of the interview. Ack! I can either do Algebra or Geometry.
I've subbed in MS Math courses. Looking at their present faculty list, There is one teacher who teaches 6-8 Science and supplemental math. I wonder if he's leaving and that's the job they're looking to fill? 'Cause I can totally do supplemental math. Yes, teaching three grades - the school only has about 250 students K-8. So the classes are small.
Now I've got to print resumes, copy transcripts, and GO SHOPPING! I need a killer interview outfit for next week.
