Poor, poor laptop
This poor thing. I mean, it's a refurbished laptop, so who knows how old it actually is. I've used it daily for three years, and with a new hard drive. But once again I opened it up and got a blank screen staring me in the face. It makes a weird sound too, when it's like that. Then I push the power button, I hear it blip off (which sounds weird too) and then restart and it comes back up, no problem.
Anyone have any clue as to what is going on? Does it sound familiar? I've got backups of everything now (except my saved mail - I should do that today), but if it's something fixable (read: cheaper than a new laptop) I'd rather fix it.
Although I did look through the Dell site today and saw a pretty pink laptop...bigger, faster...I don't really need bigger and faster, I just was looking. How many years can you get from a laptop, do ya think? I was HOPING to have this one for another year, but...
Sigh. Why does everything break at once. New vacuum, new hard drive...Ugh.
