This week I've been very efficient. I've read Cybil nominees, studied for the test on Saturday, gotten some promotional things out of the way, mailed stuff to the state so I can get my certificate process rolling, and even started plowing through the WA step outline/treatment thingy. Should actually finish that today. No more hanging around for me - I have to take advantage of the time off I get, because I never know when I'm going to get called to work. It's a bit of a shift for me, putting work instead of writing first. It's okay, just means I need to become more efficient at writing too, spend less time playing around on the internet. Setting up the Yahoo group for the newsletter is part of that. It's a very efficient thing.
As far as book promo, I've got two interviews already set up for February, and in March I'll be a featured author at
The Raven, as well as Author of the Month for
YA Enchanting Reviews. Their website is undergoing some construction, but they'll be up soon. They gave RETURN TO ZANDRIA a good review on their
MySpace site.
What I need to do is set up another Virtual Book Tour. This time around I'm going to make this easy on people. If you'd like to host a visit, leave me a comment or send me an
e-mail. I'll send you the cover file, blurb, bio and synopsis in one neat package, and you can just post it on your date, which will be sometime mid-Feb through mid-March. If you'd LIKE to do an interview, I can do that too. I'm still working out what I'm going to give away for the VBT, since this is an e-book release, but it'll be good.

I got the 'final' file of THE CROWN OF ZEUS from my editor yesterday. The publisher's approved it, just waiting on the final, FINAL approval. it was so rewarding to see the book, no comments, just there. And in the back...well, there's the blurb for THE ANKH OF ISIS, which we managed to squeak out and get approved in time. It's got a tagline and a "Coming from Samhain in Summer 2008", and everything. It's just so...like a real book. LOL.
AND there's an excerpt from VAMPIRE IN MY DREAMS, another YA book from Samhain, which came out last October. It's just cool to have blurbs in the back of my book. I never had one before.
I put the ANKH blurb up on my website, under Upcoming Releases, in case you're curious. You know you are.
One last thing I need to do, and that's pick an excerpt from the book to go into the back of other people's books and on the website and stuff. That's going to be a tough choice.
Okay, on to the rest of the day! Projects to finish, things to do!
