First… before I get all emo, I want to wish bexatious and athena4lynn the happiest of birthdays! I've got nothing fic-wise for either of you and that makes me sad but I send you all the best wishes in the world. And maybe a Josh or Danny-clone of your very own

You know, I've never been involved in a fandom before - never this invested in a tv show, and sometimes I have to shake myself and remind myself of that fact - that it IS a tv show. But then it's more than that - I'm British, and the very little I do know about US politics, I learned from the West Wing - but that's such a small part of why I'm probably gonna be bawling my eyes out on Monday. And the idea that it's not just a show, but part of *you* doesn't sound silly to me at all, because I know what you mean... and I'm glad it's not just me (in fact, there are probably a lot of us who are 'sensible' enough (or in my case, old enough!) to think we should feel silly about feeling this way about a tv show ending - we should get jackets made and form a support group!)
Here in the UK, S7 is coming up to the half way point - (just had "Running Mates") so I will be able to live in denial for a few more short months... but will probably have to go through the withdrawal all over again...
I'm actually spending time trying to work out just WHY I feel this way... I mean, I've enjoyed tv shows before, but never felt like this about any of them... when I can figure out what it is about this one in particular, maybe I'll get around to writing it down!
