walmart hate.
so, I'm going to walmart for a couple things. I bring my reusable bag because..well..it's reusable and it's not like I'm coming home with a lot of stuff. one bag is good. this is why I bought it.
off I go.
after shopping I'm on my way to the checkout and I decide to go ahead and get a second bag. one seems like too few, two doesn't seem overkill.
I proceed to a 20-items-or-less checkout. because I have less than 20 items, right. I put the reusable bag that I'm purchasing [not the one I brought with me] on the counter first, followed by my groceries, then I root around in my purse for my debit card. meanwhile, I've been HOLDING the bag that I already own in my hand. directly in front of the cashier.
by the time I look up she's already filling up 3 plastic bags with all of my stuff. all that was left outside a bag was bananas and a card.
are you kidding? did you really scan that shopping bag and THEN put it IN a plastic one??!? [BTW, yes, she did.]
adding insult to injury, she packed the bags like a total idiot. I've never worked in a grocery store a day in my life, but at least I know how it's supposed to go. I had to push a cart outside because I knew that if I tried to carry my 3 bags that they'd be ripped by the time I got out the door.
BUT - it was a huge relief not to have that crazy guy standing at the entrance/exit waving me down asking to see my receipt for my potting soil. like he does EVERY TIME I GO because without fail, I always have something too large or awkward for a bag. water jug, toilet paper, cat food, etc.
