friday night my grandpa was doing so well... he was teasing me about "boys" and giving the nurses a hard time. he told his nurse that he was hungry, so the nurse went to go see what kind of diet my grandpa was on. meanwhile another nurse came in with a large tray of food, asked my grandpa's name and, when realizing she had the wrong room turned to go. but my grandpa hadn't eaten since the thursday night before his surgery (almost 12 hours). so he sat up in his seat and said "where you goin', get back here with that." he was doing so well.
then saturday morning is when he had the stroke. the neurologist said that in 15 years he has never seen a stroke so severe. as of yesterday, when i posted, they didn't realize its severity.
so my mom, my dad's fiance, my sister, her fiance, my grandma, my uncle, my two great aunts and of theirs' son went up to the hospital all day today. now he cant talk or swallow or move any of the left side of his whole body. he was writing notes fairly well. and using the mouth moisturizer on his own mostly. which is a good sign- and he is supposedly a lot better than he was yesterday.
