We Are Family. I Got All My Sisters With Me.
Just got back from my family reunion... and some other family's reunion. (I'll explain the latter in just a moment)
My family reunion wasn't so bad, my uncle Johnny gave me $20.. and well that was pretty much worth just going over there! He did keep going on about how he admired me so much because I wasn't like Heather and I didn't go and ruin my life. *lol* Well yeah! She didn't end up coming to the reunion, but I saw her last night. Her belly has grown so much in less than a week. It's cute...kinda.
Seriously though, the whole setup of this big get-together was completely ridiculous. We voted on Officers! You know President, Vice President... and so on. WTF? Why is it necessary to have a President of your family reunion? I don't understand, but whatever. Then they had an auction to raise money for the next family reunion... ummm another ridiculous thing.
I ended up wandering over to the slides and stuff with Jennifer and her sister Kayla. I took little Jasmine with me because she wanted me to push her on the swing. Turned out we were actually invading another family reunion and this little kid saw me pushing Jasmine and asked me to push him. I was like, "Do I Know You?" Jen looked at me and was like "Yeah yeah, that's your little cousin Brandon!" She had already introduced herself as his cousin. Jennifer and I got really into the act and started pretending like we were all related to the kids and they asked if we knew Aunt Goldie...because she was singing karaoke. I was like yeah, and went over and sang a song with her. It was completely ridiculous but so great! I heard some of the people under the shed talking before I got ready to sing. They were like "Whose kid is that" and other stuff. SO FUNNY! Then my "Aunt Goldie" was telling me to pick another song to sing and everything. I told her I had to leave though. I CAN'T BELIEVE I SANG WITH A COMPLETE STRANGER!!! Kristen ran over and told my mom who was like... you'll sing over there at someone elses reunion but you won't sing at ours? My logic is... I just don't get nervous in front of people I don't know... or people I'm already projecting myself as an idiot to. I'd probably freeze up trying to sing in front of my family though.
Moofer, Kayla and Wes came to the reunion. Lance had invited them so that was pretty cool. Emily and Les were there, I had forgotten Les was kinda part of my family. (but not really). Okay, anyway.... I think this is enough writing for now. I need to get ahold of Will and we need to go to Wal-Mart. My Papaw's birthday is today so I need to go visit him too.
