Challenge #14: Bonus Challenge [Resource Roundup]

Resource Roundup
I loooove my textures so much.
Unfortunately though I always just saved them and added the credits to my credits post
now if I go back and want to credit a specific texture I mostly don't know who made it.
so I won't give you the textures that you see in the example icons (the example icons are all mine)
still I tried to give you a wide range of textures :)
first off... edge textures.
examples:
I often use textures that only cover the sides.
I think they look really awesome and often help with pictures that are slightly too small.

next type of textures I often use are sometimes called "colour bombs"
examples:
I like them to intensify or change the icons colour:
pamkips vetica longerthanwedo innocent_lexys
I especially love the ones where there's different colours on 2 different sides:
midnight_road likealight midnight_road LIKEALIGHT
next we have grungy textures
examples:
I think I use them a little bit tooo much. it sometimes makes my icons a little bit grainy
but textures are still awesome because the colourful ones can also be used for fake background :)
FUUURS TINEBRELLA FUUURS IVETICA
paint(ish) textures
examples:
then we have those textures that look like they were painted onto the icon.
they don't necessarily have to be grungy
I especially like those to frame the character in my icon.

text/editorial textures
examples:
either for background or overlaying...they often help the composition if you think the icon is too boring

sooo. last but not least my favourite texture makers
an awesome texture community is soaked which is LOOKSLIKERAIN's communtiy
I just love that the textures are so unique.
I saved every single texture :)
innocent_lexys does some really amazing textures.

then there is deny1984 with a community called midnight-road

aaand one more (even if I could do and endless list here :P)
