This needed to be done immediately

Thanks to oddmonster, there is finally a 30-day book meme floating around in the blogosphere! I've enjoyed seeing other people's 30-day TV and film memes, and now there's finally one that I am qualified to fill out! :) So, without further ado...

The 30-Day Book Meme

Day 23 - Most annoying character ever
Day 24 - Best quote from a novel
Day 25 - Any five books from your "to be read" stack
Day 26 - OMG WTF? OR most irritating/awful/annoying book ending
Day 27 - If a book contains ______, you will always read it (and a book or books that contain it)!
Day 28 - First favorite book or series obsession
Day 29 - Saddest character death OR best/most satisfying character death (or both!)
Day 30 - What book are you reading right now?

Day 01 - A book series you wish had gone on longer OR a book series you wish would just freaking end already (or both!)

I absolutely love Robin McKinley's Damar books, The Hero and the Crown and The Blue Sword, so I would love it if she wrote more books in that universe!

I kind of wish Deanna Raybourn's Lady Julia Grey series would just freaking end already. Don't get me wrong -- I really enjoyed the first three books! I just thought that the third book, Silent on the Moor, would be the last in the series. It seemed to resolve all the major conflicts nicely, and I was satisfied with the way everything ended. But apparently Raybourn is continuing with the series, and I fear it will become one of those painful neverending series where the author doesn't know when to quit.
