Something I try to go by is: which genre haven't I read in a while?

Of course, that's the rational approach. I succumbed to my guilty pleasure of 'omg can I just have a comfort read' by picking up a historical fic/romance, my Achilles heel when it comes to reading :P

Haha, it's good advice. That's my conflict too - I know I should read The Optimist's Daughter, but I'm gravitating to one of the other three because they'll be more relaxing!

Glad to add you! :) The first book in the Cadfael series is A Morbid Taste for Bones...I'll look forward to seeing what you think!

Ah... thanks! I've added it to my to-read list, and I'll pick up a copy soon. I don't seem to get through books as quickly as you do, so it may be a little while before I get to it. Looks exciting, though!

Haha, well, hope you enjoy it! :) I liked A Morbid Taste for Bones pretty well, but the next one, One Corpse Too Many, is my favorite so far.

The Tombs of Atuan is really good. Then again, the entire Earthsea series is excellent. It's also a fairly quick read, so you'll be on to the other books in no time. :)

Thanks for the advice! I've already started The Optimist's Daughter, but I will read The Tombs of Atuan next! I liked the first Earthsea book a lot, but for some reason didn't continue with the series, so I figure now's a good time!
