The soundtrack theme of
Tune in Tuesday continues this week, and I couldn't let it go by without featuring one of my favorite musical artists! When I first started watching "Gilmore Girls" (now one of my favorite shows!), the town troubadour really struck my fancy, and I decided to see whether I could get my hands on some of his music. Turns out, his name is Grant-Lee Phillips, and he's put out several albums, all of which I really like. Here are a couple of his songs that are featured in the series:
Grant-Lee Phillips, "Lily-a-Passion"

This song is from episode 4x22, "Raincoats and Recipes," which has got to be one of my favorite episodes in the entire series. Luke and Lorelai finally acting on their feelings? Yes please! Anyway, I think the song is played while Lorelai walks across the town square to Luke's, but I can't remember exactly when!

This one is played during Lorelai and Max's engagement party in "Hammers and Veils" (2x02).
I've actually gotten a lot of great songs from "Gilmore Girls," so I'd definitely recommend it to music fans who like a wide variety of genres!
