Since I don't have any book reviews or challenge sign-ups to share today, here is an unrelated meme I stole from catyah! Here's how it works: (1) Comment to this post and I'll give you a letter. (2) Share ten things/people/places/thoughts/feelings/etc. that you love that begin with that letter. I got the letter "B," so here goes!

I love bridal shows, too! I'm a TLC junkie. It's one of my not-so-secret guilty pleasures.

Oh yeah, and I already have a letter I need to do. But can I have another? This is fun!

Haha, yes, the TLC shows are the best! I'm kinda addicted to "Say Yes to the Dress" (although I wish they'd stuck to Kleinfelds rather than Atlanta) and "Four Weddings."

How about D for dresses (as in wedding dresses, of course)?

I like Say Yes to the Dress: Atlanta, too. Lori and Monty are my favorite. I love the way they stand up for the brides and make sure their voices are heard. There are too many instances when the people the bride brings with her just turn out to be huge jerks. I would never let anyone talk to me like that about what wedding dress I want to wear. It's my wedding, I could turn up in a potato sack if I wanted to.

I agree with you about the horrible people that terrorize the bride -- that should not happen! She's the one who has to wear the dress, after all! At the same time, sometimes the brides are real bitches too, trying to force their parents or fiances to pay for way-over-the-budget gowns.

I disagree about Lori and Monty, though; I think Monty is just a poor copycat of Randy, and Lori is way too opinionated sometimes. Like, she's always talking about how the groom should never be there; while I personally wouldn't invite my fiance to a wedding-gown store, I think it's OK for brides to make that call on an individual basis.
