OMG I was so nervous when I saw this review because this was the first romance novel I ever read and so it has a dear place in my heart LOL. But I am so glad you enjoyed it! Jenny Crusie's other works are a little darker in comedy and a lot sexier so it's always funny when people try to read her other things expecting something exactly like Bet Me when this one is actually kind of the odd one out.

Aww, sorry I had you worried! But yeah, you were one of like ten people urging me to read Bet Me, so I suspected I would enjoy it. :) Thanks for the comparison with Crusie's other books -- it's always good to know what to expect, to avoid disappointments later!

I enjoyed this book but didn't love it. Agree about all the food stuff getting old.I get that the main character has a weight issue but really think Cruise did too much.

Exactly. We know she has a weight issue -- we don't have to read about it on every other page!
