Thanks to
Birdie, whose blog is dangerously full of great challenges, I find myself signing up for yet another one:
The
Christmas Spirit Reading Challenge looks like a fun way to get into the holiday spirit! It runs from November 26 (Black Friday) to January 6 (Twelfth Night or Epiphany), and the only rule is that the books must be "Christmas novels, books about Christmas lore or a book of Christmas short stories (sorry, no children's books, but YA novels are okay)." There are three levels in this challenge, but I'm just going to aim for the Candy Cane level and read one Christmas book. If I read more, I'll bump myself up to the Mistletoe level!
It should be easy for me to complete this challenge, because Lauren Willig's The Mischief of the Mistletoe is already on my shelves. I was saving it to read in December anyway, so it works out perfectly! :)
