Epic win!
At the risk of sounding horribly braggy (apologies in advance!) or tempting fate, I just have to say: the internet freaking loves me right now! A couple of days ago, I found out that I won the fabulous giveaway at Giraffe Days: $30 in books of my choice from The Book Depository! I have requested Pegasus by Robin McKinley, StarCrossed by Elizabeth C. Bunce, and The Silver Blade by Sally Gardner, all of which have been on my wish list for ages. I'm so excited!
And, if that weren't enough amazing news, I also won a giveaway at the R.I.P. V Challenge! If you participated in that challenge, then you're already familiar with Jennifer Gordon's beautiful artwork...and Stainless Steel Droppings decided to give away a mini-print! So I will also be receiving her gorgeous print entitled "Our Love Was Lost":
Seriously, this is some amazing luck! I'm completely thrilled...and also a tiny bit scared, to be honest! :) Something is bound to go wrong to make up for this, right?
In other news, Day 01 of NaNoWriMo has come to an end, and I've written a grand total of 565 words. I will definitely have to pick up the pace tomorrow! To be fair, Monday is an incredibly busy day for me, so hopefully the rest of the week will be better. I do feel like I have a basic plot direction, though, which is more than I had when I woke up this morning!
