I've acquired a few new books this week! On Wednesday I stopped at the Barnes & Noble on my way home to buy the following:
I read something positive about The Spirit Thief a while ago (might have been a mention from
janicu, come to think of it), and I've been wanting to read it ever since. And Bespelling Jane has been on my radar for years -- I remember AustenBlog mentioning it when it was still in its embryonic stages. Believe it or not, I actually thought it was a unique concept at the time; it was before Pride and Prejudice and Zombies, Mr. Darcy, Vampyre, and company came on the scene. I'm not sure how good this collection will be, and to be honest, I'm not the biggest fan of the paranormal Austen trend. However, I do like Janet Mullany...and the cover is gorgeous!
I also got Anya Seton's Green Darkness from Paperback Swap this week. I've heard mixed things about it, so I'm a little apprehensive; but hey, it was free! More excitingly, I have ordered both Cut to the Quick and A Broken Vessel from Paperback Swap, so I hope to have them soon! :) Now I just need to get my hands on a copy of Whom the Gods Love.
The library book sale is tomorrow (woohoo!), which means I'll probably have another acquisitions post for you soon. :)
