I am getting a pedicure right now! First one in 5 months and some days.. Gross I know. But what can you do when your baby won't take a bottle

You really shouldn't have to diet to lose the weight. How much did you gain and how much did you lose with the delivery?
With the boys, I gained 38 pounds, lost 30 of it with the delivery and then the other 8 within a few months. But then steadily gained until I was almost pregnant weight! Then I did South Beach. Lost 14 pounds in a few months, back to my "normal" weight (130).
With Vera, I gained 25 pounds, lost about 15 of it with the delivery, and now I'm at my high school weight (115). That's actually too low for my height and I'm unable to keep any pants on my hips without a belt. I can't eat enough to keep up with Vera!
But the South Beach diet is a good way to be healthy -- not necessarily to lose weight, because here is a VERY important thing you need to know -- breast milk is high in fat and there is a good reason. Babies' brain cells are still developing, by forming the cells that surround the nerve cells (these are made primarily of FAT). So basically, you need plenty of fat in your diet so that your breast milk has it and so that your baby will get it so that the brain cells can develop properly. Don't cut back on fat for your own weight.
The best thing you can do is keep feeding the baby and the weight will come off. I think I lost most of mine in the time between 4 and 7 months post-partum.
gained 30 & i lost all of the weight within the first week..amazing. i still feel more comfortable at about 115 so thats the reason for dieting.
i stopped cutting calories after a few days of feeling crappy. i've just been exercising more & the weight is coming off so quickly. i seriously eat so much it is ridiculous.. more than i did when i was pregnant, for sure!
