So as I was driving to work, the song listed below came on the radio. Not the original version, which is by Neil Young, and not the version by Susana Hoffs and Matthew Sweet that I have heard. Instead, it was a version by Dar Williams, who is playing a concert in Pittsburgh the weekend I'm moving out. I think it was cool how the song came on the radio and the fact that the specific singer sang it made me feel like it was some sort of sign. I also agree with everything in the song about wanting to get away and go back home. I feel like I'm in the "nowhere" stage right now. I love when things happen that are so totally random and synched up. It makes me feel like there is sense in the universe.
Something really scary is going to happen tomorrow, because it is going to make work really awkward. It's one of those things that I feel like is going to either be like "why didn't you tell me this earlier" or else cause a nervous breakdown. I'm scared to go to work on Thursday and deal with the consequences of the conversation, but I think that it will help with school psychology stuff. Also, I'm big-time pumped to go out west this summer and attend a school psych. conference in New Mexico and then visit Emily in Colorado. It's looking to be a good summer. I think that things are going to start getting interesting not in a new or changed sort of way, but in a maturing sense. Working with a preschooler and toddler makes me sort of want to have kids and also sort of want to live in a cave and never be around children or adults, haha, scary times ahead.
Everybody Knows This Is Nowhere lyrics
I think I'd like to go
back home
And take it easy
There's a woman that
I'd like to get to know
Living there
Everybody seems to wonder
What it's like down here
I gotta get away
from this day-to-day
running around,
Everybody knows
this is nowhere.
Everybody, everybody knows
Everybody knows.
Every time I think about
back home
It's cool and breezy
I wish that I could be there
right now
Just passing time.
Everybody seems to wonder
What it's like down here
I gotta get away
from this day-to-day
running around,
Everybody knows
this is nowhere.
Everybody, everybody
