This morning my 9 yr old woke up a bit later, but not "deep" late. Around 9ish. Medication, then breakfast. Cheerios and milk again. Roughly 1/2 and hour of a game with his 11 yr old sis because he did make the bed, brush the teeth, and clean up, and he did exit the game when asked. After that we had Bible read aloud for about 20 minutes. Then, we talked about cleaning his feet for a bit, I told him that was happening today. He said it wasn't, I said, "we'll see". He hung out on the couch a bit and then laid down. I managed to get him to take his pepcid. Pretty soon he acted more lethargic, so I walked back over and spoke to him. He did respond, and then covered his face with a blanket. He wouldn't do anything asked, and I knew he was going to just have to go through it. He eventually ended up on the floor for a while, no explanations. He really wouldn't talk. Mostly moans. He got back up on the couch. He covered his face with the blanket, writhing around. It meant that the blanket ended up under his head, and he couldn't get it off his head because he was not lifting his head. So, he began to panic and yell that he could not breathe (though he was breathing). I took the blanket off his head, and he complained the light was too bright. He stayed reclined for a while longer, then slowly came out of it and ate lunch, and went along.
We went to the library after he was doing better, he was able to work on school. He read a long passage for history to himself, and read a story. He was able to summarize the story well. He did do simple math problems, and had a time when he felt overwhelmed and said he couldn't focus, so he and I played a game together and he slowly got more focus. Then he voluntarily closed the game and started back to school. We went to the park and he played with a friend who got out of school, he was appropriate and did fine (though he hid at first from the friend who approached with his brother and two other boys). We went home, and waited for my husband to come home. We went out to eat, all was well. Came home, and yes, he got his feet cleaned by soaking in warm water with epsom salt. He clipped his own toenails, took medicine, and was in bed by 8:30. He's still asleep at 2:30am.
