Who Killed Jesus Christ ?
The big question has come up, and it is the one everyone wants the answer to.
That question, bought on by the movie, “Passion of the Christ”, is simple :
WHO CRUCIFIED JESUS CHRIST?
Is there one right answer? Are there many right answers? What does Scripture say?
Wanting to release Jesus, Pilate appealed to them (the Jews) again. But they kept shouting “Crucify him! Crucify him!” For the third time he spoke to them: “Why? What crime has this man committed? I have found in him no grounds for the death penalty. Therefore I will have him punished and then release him.” But with loud shouts they insistently DEMANDED that he be crucified.... (Luke 23 : 20-23)
There you have it. It is as clear as black and white. THE JEWS CRUCIFIED JESUS.
But wait!
Pilate said, “Take him yourselves and judge him by your own law.” “But we have no right to execute anyone,” the Jews objected. This happened so that the words Jesus had spoken indicating the kind of death he was going to die would be fulfilled... Finally Pilate handed him over to them to be crucified... So the soldiers took charge of Jesus... they crucified him... (John 18 : 31-32; 19 : 16-18)
There you have it. THE ROMANS CRUCIFIED JESUS.
But wait!
For God so loved the world that he GAVE his one and only Son, (or HIS ONLY BEGOTTEN SON) that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.
There you have it. It is clear. GOD CRUCIFIED JESUS.
But wait!
The reason my Father loves me is that I lay down my life - only to take it up again. NO ONE TAKES IT FROM ME, but I lay it down of my own accord. I have authority to lay it down and authority to take it up again. (John 10 : 18)
How can you deny it? JESUS CHRIST CRUCIFIED JESUS.
Is there only one answer? NO. Is there only one RIGHT answer? NO. All the answers are absolutely correct. But there IS ONE more answer. And this is the most important one of all.
WHO KILLED JESUS CHRIST?
For what I recieved I passed on to you as of first importance: Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures, and that he appeared to Peter, and then to the Twelve. After that, he appeared to more than five hundred of the brothers at the same time... (1 Corin. 15:3-4)
WHO KILLED JESUS CHRIST?
I DID.
For Christ died for sins, once for all, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God. (1 Peter 3:18)

Dear Jesus,
I know that you died for me... I know that you rose 3 days later and are alive still. I may not understand it, but I believe it. Please help me to SEE what you want me to see. I know I need you in my heart, and my life. Please come in to me, forgive me of my sins, and wash me. Give me Your Free Gift of eternal life, and show me how you want me to live. I want to turn from this empty life, and live for you, and with you, forever. Thank you God, for saving me, through the blood of Jesus Christ.
