I know I'm posting again, but oh well.
My question is: As a Christian, can the Bible lead one to believe in Evolution?
[As Evolution is becoming more and more generally accepted as to how the universe started, I've been questioning the whole my belive in Creationism. I believed in the Old Earth theory for a little while (the '6 days' of Creation are not literal twenty-four hour periods, but more like ages. This is because the same Greek word for 'day' is used in other passages in the OT, but to mean 'ages' or 'long periods of time', etc.) But Evolution seems more probable, and I feel like everytime I deny Evolution, I'm denying facts that are laid right in front of me that point towards Evolution. Can Christians believe that God created the universe though the Big Bang and as well as life being formed from Evolution?]
And also, for those of you who do not believe that most of the OT is literal, but is spoken more in metaphors and made up stories to move the reader, how do you know that the ressurection is not just a metaphor? I know of a few Paganist writers who wrote of a man named Jesus, his walk, and his ressurection, but how do we know this is not an old folk tale passed on?
ressurection,
literalism of ot,
creationism,
folk tale,
