I just had a thought that piqued my interest, so this is for all the atheists/pagan/non-Christian/what have you that read this comm.
Let's say, for argument's sake, that the Christian God is true. Also, let's say for argument's sake, that He is true in the Universalist sense - that is, all, no matter what their belief or choice on Earth, are taken into Heaven.
How would you feel about this? Would you want to be forced into Heaven, with no alternative? This is a Heaven where you must acknowledge God as master over your life, a Good Omni-everything being who wants what is best for you - but you have no choice whatsoever in the matter.
Would this sit well with you? Would you see this type of God as a 'good' God? Personally, I can't see the attraction... If I were an atheist, and I died and found out such a place existed, I'm not sure I would want in, if it meant giving up everything I believed in here on Earth.
Just my late-night ramblings... I'm interested to see what you think.
