That still, small voice
This is how I've always heard the Holy Spirit described... a still, small voice that will answer your questions, almost like a conscience. I was watching a TV preacher, and I heard that Voice, that told me that what he was preaching wasn't right, and it bothered me enough to turn off the TV and leave the room. So I guess my question is this...
I know there are lots of people preaching lots of things that aren't correct. Sometimes they are wrong simply because they interpret scripture wrong, sometimes they are outright lying with the intent to deceive. How do you know, when you hear that Voice, if it's the Holy Spirit speaking, or Satan trying to deceive you? I am a very new Christian and am still trying to sort some of this stuff out.
