My mom once told me she believed that some people (or all people, I forget which) have an extra special gift from God. For example, she says that her gift is that she can tell "evil" people from "good" people. She just gets a really funny feeling that tells her not to trust the person or to get away, and just about every time it happens she finds out later that her instinct was right. For me, I think my special gift from God is that I have the ability to feel others pain and therefore relate to them better and eventually help them through their rough time. For example, after getting to know someone for a little bit I can tell just by looking at them if something is bothering them. I had a friend in high school that I became so close with that I could tell from e-mails he sent me if something was wrong. If someone has a problem I can sense it and I instinctively drop everything to help them.
I was wondering what you all think of this. I'll admit that I don't read the Bible much, nor attend church on a regular basis, though I still talk to God on a regular basis and believe full-heartedly in Him. Are there any passages in the Bible that discuss this topic? Do you feel you have a special gift from God? Please share :)
