Such an odd story to find in the Wall Street Journal, of all places, but
this is very interesting.
What are your folks thoughts on confessing sins to another? It is clearly commended in Scripture, James 5:16, as a healing rite. This passage in particular, as well as the authority given by Christ to the Apostles to forgive sins and hold them bound, is the basis of the Catholic Sacrament of Reconciliation. But it is not only Catholics who practice confession, and I'd love to hear from everyone your thoughts on confessing sins to other humans. Do you do it, how frequently, what is your feeling when done, etc.? Personally, I'm a big fan, and I try to go once a week, at the least once a month. For me the sacrament truly is healing, and I receive a very special grace from God in my fight against sin. Okay, the floor is yours =)
