Summary of Finals...Analogy style!

Dec 14, 2005 21:50

Piano jury (1pm last Friday) = Drinking lemonade with friends on a porch. You spill some lemonade and then you all laugh it off and get some more from inside the house.

Voice jury (3pm Monday) = Getting married to the right guy.

French final (today at 8:30am) = Jumping on a flight to New York at the very last minute and being relieved when you realize you've miraculously remembered to pack your cell phone charger, but a little bummed that you forgot contact solution. That's okay, you can buy some more once you get off the plane.

Music Lit final (today at 1:30pm) = Trying on dress after dress before going out to dinner, never knowing which one you really like or which one is appropriate because you've never gone to this restaurant before. So you go with a simple but chic black dress from Target and fancy it up with a nice necklace and sweater and head out. The food's pretty good, and everybody else at the restaurant is dressed equally nice, but in a slightly diffent style. That's okay, at least you're looking good.

Music Theory Final (tonight at 6pm) = Staring at a closet that you opened about a month ago, thinking, "How much could be in there? I feel like I just cleaned that thing." You open the closet door, and a bunch of old junk tumbles out--papers, jackets, tennis rackets--but you manage to shove it all back inside, except for a bowling ball and a pair of mittens that wind up on the hall floor.
