Umm… If it based on work, maybe short. But in our 10 years, we’re not that easy to break. If I think about this 10 years of ours, there are so many things that happened and I feel like it’s just a blink of an eye but really, many things happened.

Oh. But honestly, about this 10th Anniversary, I am looking forward to it. Especially that, I don’t really think the performances have change until now, I just want to do my best so the people who’ll come will be able to enjoy it.

Maybe the first is [Your Seed]. In the PV shooting, I troubled people in the agency (laugh).
-That song is when the time you appeared on [Gokusen], right?
Yes. During the recording time, I can’t practice choreography with everyone. When the shooting finished, I decided to practice alone at midnight. Then when I went to the PV shooting location, all of a sudden, the choreography changed. I said it’s NG many times. I complained too much, I can’t even look at the member’s faces. When I thought I’m finally getting along well, then someone from office said ‘laugh properly’, I made too much gap. I keep apologizing in my mind saying, ‘I’m sorry for failing over and over again’, although I said to leave it all to me. After that I got scolded a lot with ‘What’s with that attitude!’ (laugh).
-The members called it as ‘Takaki’s cool and arrogant era’. That irritating era, now looking back to those times, what do you think?
It was quite hard. Moreover, I didn’t notice that it was irritating. I was really sorry. I shouldn’t make an excuse for my age but 17 years old, I wasn’t prepared to live in this world yet. What if it’s more fun to play with my local friends. Really, that’s just an arrogant era, right?
-Now, you love the members, right?
That’s just for business. That’s only a lie, I’m kidding (laugh).
-Hahahahaha. You start to like the members gradually?
Right. I also talked about it before, the time when [Gokusen] finished, we did a big BEST meeting. I wasn’t invited until that, I know the members were doing ski and going on a trip. Although I wasn’t invited, It was obvious that I let out an aura saying ‘Don’t invite me. Don’t talk to me’ (laugh). But in that BEST meeting, they also invited me.
-I wonder why did they call you?
Those guys probably thought ‘If he carries on like this, it’ll be bad’. I don’t know though. I think it’s always been like that. -The thing we talked before ‘cool and arrogant era’, when you’re only hanging out with [Gokusen] co-stars, suddenly, Yabu invaded, that’s the time when you play together, right?
Right. Really, Yabu… He was annoying. I was like ‘This guy, for what reason he came until here?’. But I was happy. ‘He cares so much about me who is like this’. At first, he’s the real opposite of me. If we’re not in the same group, he’s the type that I won’t be friends with. I see him like someone from different world. That guy is in JE since elementary school, while I am since Junior High School. He is so called “The Johnnys”. That time, also my friends I’m playing with, suddenly they talked about Yabu and said something like, ‘He is really like a Johnnys’. Between the group, only him who has different coat colour.

That’s why he’s amazing. In that situation, he can come in by himself. I think everyone in Johnnys go through this way once, ‘Is it good to carry on as a Johnnys idol like this?’ that time I was faced with dilemna. I jerked my hand free wildly, but Yabu who is Johnnys like, grabbed my hand and didn’t let it go. That’s why, I’m still here until now.

‘I knew the members were amazing‘
-Please tell us about the members recently.
The one I want to feature now is Okamoto Keito! Because he’s so interesting. We do ‘Itadaki High Jump’ over 2 years but when Keito went to the location alone, is the most interesting. It’s not only my opinion, there are many people who said it also. They said ‘Okamoto-kun, that was really interesting’. Also me, I understand Keito’s pain.
-Pain?
There’s something like the most Junior. Now, I know the pain of being bullied. Recently, we’re talking when going to the location together, that guy has suffering things indeed. When the members just shook the conversation off saying ‘Say in English’, when he talked then no one laugh, I was impressed (laugh).
-That scene sometimes happened.
And then, there’s Jump’s improvement as well. I think Keito improved as well. As expected, if I think something, I really need to say it out loud. ‘I want you to do it like this’. -Last year, you suddenly appeared on Okamoto-kun’s radio, right? Is it because you care?

Yes. But, the only reason I can do stuff this freely is because there are the members.
-Next, how about Yaotome-kun?
In Koshoku Robot, it’s the first time we did drama together but he made the atmosphere in the shooting location lively. He did something like that.
-What do you think about his newly ‘stupid character’?
Isn’t it good? Because he has the skill to return the atmosphere. However, I don’t know when he’s serious or playing around.
-He was scary in the old days, right?
Right. He’s the one who pay attention about the members much, At first, the others are worst in Live MC and such. In the evaluation meeting, he scolded us ‘I was the only one who speak since no one can speak though!’. There were times where his words were quite harsh as well. I suppose in those times the members secretly thought ‘What?’, there are things like that too. But we’re attacking him now (laugh). However, we started from zero. Hikaru-kun who has many experiences, I think he plays the part of a hated guy. He’s been hitting our butts and keeping us moving. The members realized that too.

Hikaru-kun is so kind since long time ago. Also recently, when I said ‘My body doesn’t feel good’, he brought a supplement and handed it to me saying ‘You can drink it before you go home’. Ah, but loving me too much would trouble me a bit.
-Something happened?
He always does the same as me, to the point I wonder if he looks up to me. Before, when I passed by my salon, Hikaru-kun seemed to come there too, because we have the same hairdresser, our hairstyle are kind of similar. I hate that, so I changed the salon but although I changed it, I ended up going to the same salon again (laugh).
-Hahaha. How about Yabu-kun now?

-Now he becomes more leader like?
Yes. Recently, when I listened to Yabu’s speech in the Live meeting, I think ‘He really think about it’. He really can be relied on. I felt that, whatever he is thinking are always one step forward. Not just about himself, not just about the members and group as well. About fans and agency, his opinions are after considering various things. I thought ‘This person really cherish Jump’. Then when he’s working hard on his drama. I watch it every week.
-You often watch member’s works, right?
I do. In the old days, if I watch the members individual work, it’s kind of embarrassing. I really didn’t like it. But I come to watch it recently.
-Is there an occasion?
Maybe Chinen’s Kin Medal Otoko. I noticed it in cinema by a chance. I think ‘It seems interesting’. I don’t really watch Japanese movies in cinema so if I watch it there, it’s must be really interesting. Like ‘There is such an interesting movie like this’, So from now, I’m curious how the members are doing.
-Not to mention, you would always tell the members your impression, right?
Yes. I want to tell them. Not about the period, rating, income, of course that’s such an important thing. But when I watch if they’re interesting or not, that’s the most important thing for me. That’s why, I want to tell them like ‘That was interesting’. If the members tell me that, I gain confidence. I’m like that. When the members tell me, I don’t know what reaction I should showed, it’s difficult (laugh). I will say ‘Ah, thank you’. But I’ll be happy. If it’s me, I’m happy if the members watch me.
-Then how about Chinen-kun?
Ehm… we don’t talk about deep things. Because both of us are free persons. We both can be dependent on the group members, as the members are reliable, we can burst open. We talk whenever we like, we take a break whenever we like. Because we’re both like that. Ah, this interview releases issued date, the tour already begin, right?
-Yes.
Then, how it will be, because I don’t know how, so it’s better to not say it but now, Chinen teaches me how to do back flip. Yesterday, in the middle of rehearsal, I joked, ‘Maybe I should do back flip’, then Chinen said ‘Do it! Do it! I’ll teach you!’. Although he teaches me, the example is too amazing, I don’t really know how (laugh). But, he adviced me the place where I can put my hands onto, it becomes fun.
-You suddenly wanted to be able to backflip?
Since I joined JE, I feel like I want to do backflips on stage. It’s 10th Anniversary, I think it’s the right time, if someone who seems like can’t do it suddenly do it, isn’t the tension will be high?
-About 10th Anniversary, honestly you really think about it, right?
Not really. This conversation, you can write it but I don’t know if I can do it or not in Live (laugh). But I want to do it at least once. Back flip. Since the time I joined the agency.
-So, how about Arioka-kun recently?
He never changes, always. Ah, but the way I look is probably different with everyone. Because really, we’re together since we were kids. Once I joined the agency, we were appearing together in ’ENDLESS SHOCK’ stage play. Although he’s younger, his career is higher than mine. I learned many things from him. Even now we do radio program together, we’re progressing too. He’s always beside me, he’s younger but his existence is like an older brother. A person who makes me calm when we’re together. I believe nothing will be wrong if we’re together.
-You really are always together with him.
I also fought the most with him. Long time ago, our joke become really serious. That’s why when ‘ENDLESS SHOCK’ time, we did fistfight too. Although we argued saying ‘It’s impossible with you’, but when it’s time to go home, one of us will say ‘Let’s go home together’ (laugh). It’s strange right, because we’re together more than half of my life.
-How about Nakajima-kun?
He was serious back then. He doesn’t crack a joke at all. If I tell some member ‘he’s pain in the ass’, he is the type of person that seriously tell me off for using a dirty word to the member. Maybe Yuto has many experiences outside, so he changed little by little. But now, he is the one in charge of laughs and like cracking jokes. Now, his role is to make everyone laugh. There are so many things of Yuto which make the members laugh.
-As example, when?
In the photoshoot location, thanks to Yuto, everybody laugh. I don’t know if it’s okay for an idol but there are many of us who can’t smile when we are asked ‘smile please’ (laugh). Frequently, there are many members who don’t want to lie. We are smiling in the magazines, even we’re not smiling heartily. They want to see our sincere facial expression, not a fake expression. So, that time, Yuto really makes the members laugh. In JUMP’s group photo, if all the members are laughing, the cause of that is always Yuto.
-Tell me about Yamada-kun recently.
I always had the image of “The Johnnys” for Yamada. Because Yamada is really firm. He is really working hard, even he tells such silly things. I think we are a proper group because Yamada never get carried away. I don’t say which group it is, but as the group’s center ‘I’m different with the other members’ someone tends to create such atmosphere. Even if he himself doesn’t think so. Yamada isn’t a person like that.
-He’s a good person.
Isn’t it the way his parents raise him (laugh)? Yamada’s family is really a good family. Yamada himself, he also want to build a good family someday.
-When Yamada-kun was having trouble about his solo debut, he consulted to Arioka-kun and you, right? Why did you think he consult to you as well?
I don’t know about that (laugh).
-‘If I were you, I’ll do it. You pushed him like that, right?
I mean isn’t that great!?. There’s no choice but to do that. We are in that era when there’s no such thing like ‘We can’t do it’.
-Are you also consulting to the members if you have problem?
No. Not just to the members, but I don’t talk about my worries to anyone. I don’t like it if someone will tell me ‘You’re like this, so it’s better to do it like this’ (laugh). Then, if I can’t find the solution for whatever my problem is, the last solution is to let the time solve it.
-You’re always easy going, you don’t have an image to worry about something.
It can’t be seen (laugh). I have my own time when I suffer. There is also the time I’m going to be crushed by that problem. But no on should be able to see that shape of me.
-Isn’t that painful?
Of course it is. But that time, only Yamada recognized it, he asked me ‘Yuya, what happened?’. He said ‘Aren’t you kind of gloomy recently?’.
-When did that happened?
Recently, not so long ago. But I didn’t tell him what happened (laugh). But it’s a similar problem like when I wanted to quit from the agency. Because it never shows in my attitude, everyone else didn’t notice, only Yamada did. ‘He really thought about the members’. I didn’t want to confess what troubled me. -These comments are unbelievable coming from the show off cool Takaki-kun, right?
Absolutely. I like the members normally. It’s because I love the group that I don’t want to think lowly than any other groups. Because they’re important friends. When someone called JUMP ‘lame’ or something, it irritates me slightly. I know that our members are something amazing. Because the members know each other’s great things the most.
‘As an Idol, JE is great’
-Based on your story I heard, recently, your love for JE isn’t getting stronger?
I wonder. It passed my confusion, ‘Is it okay to continue as one of JE idols?’, ‘JE is great’ something like that. Now, that’s what I think it is.
-Something happened?
I wonder. In this world, I understand some people view things from a biased point towards us Johnnys. Recently, I want such a person to say ‘JE idols are great’.
-Right.
As example, I use my whole energy for drama, Live and variety show, stage play and CM, collecting data, while others are doing different works as well. After the drama shooting, live rehearsal, and being interviewed as well. Then, until the next morning, I should remember the script, I have watched members breeze moving to different drama filming locations, I watch them. I don’t want to boast, nor ask for you to understand my hardships. Because I do it for myself. But, as an idol, from somewhere in my heart, to people in front of my eyes in concerts, to people on the other side of the TV, I want you to smile when you see us. That’s why, I realized ‘JE idols are great’. I’m sure of that because us, members, teach each other.

That’s why recently my feelings of wanting to appear in a stage play is strong. I want to appear in a stage play that shows off ‘This is what Johnnys are!”
-You think about such things.
Yes. Then, it is kind of strange though, recently I want to hang out with people from JE, so I try to meet many JE seniors.
-As example, with who?
The one I just thought about are Ueda-kun (Tatsuya) and Tomoya-kun (Nagase). It’s ridiculous though. We have a similar aura, we have a similar scent also. Before this, it’s a first time I go out for meal with Ueda-kun.
-Isn’t that cool!
They’re also my friends. In midnight, I got a message saying ‘I’m with someone now, would you like to come and join?, I said ‘I’ll come now’ then I jumped from my house. Ueda-kun told me ‘I really hate you’ (laugh).
-Why?
Long time ago, I used to always copy appearance. People think I’m superficial. Actually, I just copied them (laugh), I always think ‘Do it your way’. Anything I say is useless. It’s no use telling anything. I don’t realize it at first. That’s why he didn’t tell me anything. Ueda-kun is really a nice person.
-Yes.
JE is great indeed. I’ve actually received a piggyback from Takizawa-kun before. In ‘HAMU… 公安警察の男...’ in the launch seat, my body suddenly felt really bad. Because there are so many seniors, I don’t want to make them worry so I remained silent, but I couldn’t stop the cold sweat. The first one to notice that was Takizawa-kun. I said ‘I’m sorry, my body feels kind of bad’ and I get scolded. He said ‘Why don’t you tell it earlier!’. I could not even walk since my feet staggered. Then, Takizawa gave me a piggyback and got me into a taxi. When I arrived at home, I got an email from an unknown number, when I opened it, it’s Takizawa-kun. As I look back, I was helped by various people. (Kiriyama) Akito-kun and (Nakama) Junta-kun, we’re together in ‘Gokusen’, they also saved me. During shooting, they lived in the same room, I bothered them everyday so we three slept together. I always put 2 single beds together and 3 of us would lie side by side in the form of the letter ‘river’ every night. That time, I was going to be crushed by pressure, if they’re not there, I really won’t overcome it. We talked about many things while sleeping in the form of letter ‘river’, I remembered it even now. Junta-kun that time said, ‘I wonder what I have to do so I can debut’, we talked about that a lot. That’s why when his debut decided, he was really happy.
‘Someday, I want to write my own book’

Like the existence of lover (laugh). There’s an idol like that! I think that’s not completely wrong. If something happened, they’ll get really mad, they’ll be so worried. When my work is decided, they were more overjoyed than me. They’re really like a girlfriend.
-After hearing today’s story, you seem to be fulfilled now.
Yes. It’s enjoyable. Now everyday is fun. To talk about my desire on lot of things, things I want to do, also people I want to meet increase.
-What kind of things you want to do?
Usual things like doing variety shows with the members, TV shows and also radio program, also I want to appear as a guest.
-Then in 10 more years, what kind of group you want it to be?
There’s no need to hurry to think about what kind of group it will be. Because there are many things we haven’t done yet. We haven’t done dome tour, there are still a lot of things we want to do and we haven’t done yet. It’s not like we’ve grabbed onto anything yet.

And then, there’s Jump’s improvement as well. I think Keito improved as well. As expected, if I think something, I really need to say it out loud. ‘I want you to do it like this’. The members don’t hate Keito, it’s just that he didn’t know what to do. Well, with the things I am thinking recently, it would be a problem if I said them out loud (laugh).
-Last year, you suddenly appeared on Okamoto-kun’s radio, right? Is it because you care?
By chance. Not really. The one with Chinen, right? Usually, everyone record several episodes but I went home after only one recording. I said ‘I’ll go home now!’ (laugh).
-You’re really a free person (laugh).
Yes. But, the only reason I can do stuff this freely is because there are the members.
-Next, how about Yaotome-kun?
In Koshoku Robot, it’s the first time we did drama together but he made the atmosphere in the shooting location lively. He did something like that.
-What do you think about his newly ‘stupid character’?
Isn’t it good? Because he has the skill to return the atmosphere. However, I don’t know when he’s serious or playing around.
-He was scary in the old days, right?
Right. He’s the one who pay attention about the members much, At first, the others are worst in Live MC and such. In the evaluation meeting, he scolded us ‘I was the only one who speak since no one can speak though!’. There were times where his words were quite harsh as well. I suppose in those times the members secretly thought ‘What?’, there are things like that too. But we’re attacking him now (laugh). However, we started from zero. Hikaru-kun who has many experiences, I think he plays the part of a hated guy. He’s been hitting our butts and keeping us moving. The members realized that too.
-So like that.
Hikaru-kun is so kind since long time ago. Also recently, when I said ‘My body doesn’t feel good’, he brought a supplement and handed it to me saying ‘You can drink it before you go home’. Ah, but loving me too much would trouble me a bit.
-Something happened?
He always does the same as me, to the point I wonder if he looks up to me. Before, when I passed by my salon, Hikaru-kun seemed to come there too, because we have the same hairdresser, our hairstyle are kind of similar. I hate that, so I changed the salon but although I changed it, I ended up going to the same salon again (laugh).
-Hahaha. How about Yabu-kun now?
I wonder how, Recently, his leadership aura is getting stronger, Of course since the old days his position is like ‘Tell Yabu if something happen’. Because he’s firm. For the group, the one who can be trusted on the important times must be Yabu.
-Now he becomes more leader like?
Yes. Recently, when I listened to Yabu’s speech in the Live meeting, I think ‘He really think about it’. He really can be relied on. I felt that, whatever he is thinking are always one step forward. Not just about himself, not just about the members and group as well. About fans and agency, his opinions are after considering various things. I thought ‘This person really cherish Jump’. Then when he’s working hard on his drama. I watch it every week.
-You often watch member’s works, right?
I do. In the old days, if I watch the members individual work, it’s kind of embarrassing. I really didn’t like it. But I come to watch it recently.
-Is there an occasion?
Maybe Chinen’s Kin Medal Otoko. I noticed it in cinema by a chance. I think ‘It seems interesting’. I don’t really watch Japanese movies in cinema so if I watch it there, it’s must be really interesting. Like ‘There is such an interesting movie like this’, So from now, I’m curious how the members are doing.
-Not to mention, you would always tell the members your impression, right?
Yes. I want to tell them. Not about the period, rating, income, of course that’s such an important thing. But when I watch if they’re interesting or not, that’s the most important thing for me. That’s why, I want to tell them like ‘That was interesting’. If the members tell me that, I gain confidence. I’m like that. When the members tell me, I don’t know what reaction I should showed, it’s difficult (laugh). I will say ‘Ah, thank you’. But I’ll be happy. If it’s me, I’m happy if the members watch me.
-Then how about Chinen-kun?
Ehm… we don’t talk about deep things. Because both of us are free persons. We both can be dependent on the group members, as the members are reliable, we can burst open. We talk whenever we like, we take a break whenever we like. Because we’re both like that. Ah, this interview releases issued date, the tour already begin, right?
-Yes.
Then, how it will be, because I don’t know how, so it’s better to not say it but now, Chinen teaches me how to do back flip. Yesterday, in the middle of rehearsal, I joked, ‘Maybe I should do back flip’, then Chinen said ‘Do it! Do it! I’ll teach you!’. Although he teaches me, the example is too amazing, I don’t really know how (laugh). But, he adviced me the place where I can put my hands onto, it becomes fun.
-You suddenly wanted to be able to backflip?
Since I joined JE, I feel like I want to do backflips on stage. It’s 10th Anniversary, I think it’s the right time, if someone who seems like can’t do it suddenly do it, isn’t the tension will be high?
-About 10th Anniversary, honestly you really think about it, right?
Not really. This conversation, you can write it but I don’t know if I can do it or not in Live (laugh). But I want to do it at least once. Back flip. Since the time I joined the agency.
-So, how about Arioka-kun recently?
He never changes, always. Ah, but the way I look is probably different with everyone. Because really, we’re together since we were kids. Once I joined the agency, we were appearing together in ’ENDLESS SHOCK’ stage play. Although he’s younger, his career is higher than mine. I learned many things from him. Even now we do radio program together, we’re progressing too. He’s always beside me, he’s younger but his existence is like an older brother. A person who makes me calm when we’re together. I believe nothing will be wrong if we’re together.
-You really are always together with him.
I also fought the most with him. Long time ago, our joke become really serious. That’s why when ‘ENDLESS SHOCK’ time, we did fistfight too. Although we argued saying ‘It’s impossible with you’, but when it’s time to go home, one of us will say ‘Let’s go home together’ (laugh). It’s strange right, because we’re together more than half of my life.
-How about Nakajima-kun?
He was serious back then. He doesn’t crack a joke at all. If I tell some member ‘he’s pain in the ass’, he is the type of person that seriously tell me off for using a dirty word to the member. Maybe Yuto has many experiences outside, so he changed little by little. But now, he is the one in charge of laughs and like cracking jokes. Now, his role is to make everyone laugh. There are so many things of Yuto which make the members laugh.
-As example, when?
In the photoshoot location, thanks to Yuto, everybody laugh. I don’t know if it’s okay for an idol but there are many of us who can’t smile when we are asked ‘smile please’ (laugh). Frequently, there are many members who don’t want to lie. We are smiling in the magazines, even we’re not smiling heartily. They want to see our sincere facial expression, not a fake expression. So, that time, Yuto really makes the members laugh. In JUMP’s group photo, if all the members are laughing, the cause of that is always Yuto.
-Tell me about Yamada-kun recently.
I always had the image of “The Johnnys” for Yamada. Because Yamada is really firm. He is really working hard, even he tells such silly things. I think we are a proper group because Yamada never get carried away. I don’t say which group it is, but as the group’s center ‘I’m different with the other members’ someone tends to create such atmosphere. Even if he himself doesn’t think so. Yamada isn’t a person like that.
-He’s a good person.
Isn’t it the way his parents raise him (laugh)? Yamada’s family is really a good family. Yamada himself, he also want to build a good family someday.
-When Yamada-kun was having trouble about his solo debut, he consulted to Arioka-kun and you, right? Why did you think he consult to you as well?
I don’t know about that (laugh).
-‘If I were you, I’ll do it. You pushed him like that, right?
I mean isn’t that great!?. There’s no choice but to do that. We are in that era when there’s no such thing like ‘We can’t do it’.
-Are you also consulting to the members if you have problem?
No. Not just to the members, but I don’t talk about my worries to anyone. I don’t like it if someone will tell me ‘You’re like this, so it’s better to do it like this’ (laugh). Then, if I can’t find the solution for whatever my problem is, the last solution is to let the time solve it.
-You’re always easy going, you don’t have an image to worry about something.
It can’t be seen (laugh). I have my own time when I suffer. There is also the time I’m going to be crushed by that problem. But no on should be able to see that shape of me.
-Isn’t that painful?
Of course it is. But that time, only Yamada recognized it, he asked me ‘Yuya, what happened?’. He said ‘Aren’t you kind of gloomy recently?’.
-When did that happened?
Recently, not so long ago. But I didn’t tell him what happened (laugh). But it’s a similar problem like when I wanted to quit from the agency. Because it never shows in my attitude, everyone else didn’t notice, only Yamada did. ‘He really thought about the members’. I didn’t want to confess what troubled me. When he asked ‘Are you okay?’, I just replied with ‘I’m okay’. But with just one sentence from Yamada, my problem suddenly disappeared for some reason. Maybe myself in the inside wanted someone to realized that I am troubled and I was truly saved, ‘This guy is a superhero’, that’s what I think about Yamada (laugh). That’s why, I was saved 2 times by the members. Yabu and Yamada. Ah, but when I thought about quitting, the members’ faces appeared and stayed in my mind, that makes it 3 times. I’m saved by the members for the 3rd time.
-These comments are unbelievable coming from the show off cool Takaki-kun, right?
Absolutely. I like the members normally. It’s because I love the group that I don’t want to think lowly than any other groups. Because they’re important friends. When someone called JUMP ‘lame’ or something, it irritates me slightly. I know that our members are something amazing. Because the members know each other’s great things the most.
‘As an Idol, JE is great’
-Based on your story I heard, recently, your love for JE isn’t getting stronger?
I wonder. It passed my confusion, ‘Is it okay to continue as one of JE idols?’, ‘JE is great’ something like that. Now, that’s what I think it is.
-Something happened?
I wonder. In this world, I understand some people view things from a biased point towards us Johnnys. Recently, I want such a person to say ‘JE idols are great’.
-Right.
As example, I use my whole energy for drama, Live and variety show, stage play and CM, collecting data, while others are doing different works as well. After the drama shooting, live rehearsal, and being interviewed as well. Then, until the next morning, I should remember the script, I have watched members breeze moving to different drama filming locations, I watch them. I don’t want to boast, nor ask for you to understand my hardships. Because I do it for myself. But, as an idol, from somewhere in my heart, to people in front of my eyes in concerts, to people on the other side of the TV, I want you to smile when you see us. That’s why, I realized ‘JE idols are great’. I’m sure of that because us, members, teach each other.
-I understand.
That’s why recently my feelings of wanting to appear in a stage play is strong. I want to appear in a stage play that shows off ‘This is what Johnnys are!”
-You think about such things.
Yes. Then, it is kind of strange though, recently I want to hang out with people from JE, so I try to meet many JE seniors.
-As example, with who?
The one I just thought about are Ueda-kun (Tatsuya) and Tomoya-kun (Nagase). It’s ridiculous though. We have a similar aura, we have a similar scent also. Before this, it’s a first time I go out for meal with Ueda-kun.
-Isn’t that cool!
They’re also my friends. In midnight, I got a message saying ‘I’m with someone now, would you like to come and join?, I said ‘I’ll come now’ then I jumped from my house. Ueda-kun told me ‘I really hate you’ (laugh).
-Why?
Long time ago, I used to always copy appearance. People think I’m superficial. Actually, I just copied them (laugh), I always think ‘Do it your way’. Anything I say is useless. It’s no use telling anything. I don’t realize it at first. That’s why he didn’t tell me anything. Ueda-kun is really a nice person.
-Yes.
JE is great indeed. I’ve actually received a piggyback from Takizawa-kun before. In ‘HAMU… 公安警察の男...’ in the launch seat, my body suddenly felt really bad. Because there are so many seniors, I don’t want to make them worry so I remained silent, but I couldn’t stop the cold sweat. The first one to notice that was Takizawa-kun. I said ‘I’m sorry, my body feels kind of bad’ and I get scolded. He said ‘Why don’t you tell it earlier!’. I could not even walk since my feet staggered. Then, Takizawa gave me a piggyback and got me into a taxi. When I arrived at home, I got an email from an unknown number, when I opened it, it’s Takizawa-kun. He said ‘I’m awake until morning, call me whenever you feel painful. I’ll take you to the hospital’. We didn’t exchange phone number but he bothered asking someone for my number and called me.
-He’s so cool.
As I look back, I was helped by various people. (Kiriyama) Akito-kun and (Nakama) Junta-kun, we’re together in ‘Gokusen’, they also saved me. During shooting, they lived in the same room, I bothered them everyday so we three slept together. I always put 2 single beds together and 3 of us would lie side by side in the form of the letter ‘river’ every night. That time, I was going to be crushed by pressure, if they’re not there, I really won’t overcome it. We talked about many things while sleeping in the form of letter ‘river’, I remembered it even now. Junta-kun that time said, ‘I wonder what I have to do so I can debut’, we talked about that a lot. That’s why when his debut decided, he was really happy.
‘Someday, I want to write my own book’
-It’s been 10 years since the debut, because you met many people, you’ve changed.
The members, friends, seniors, and fans too. I really like reading fan letters. I could only listen to fans’ voice by fan letter. The feeling from SNS reached the most, I understand it’s limited. In a fan letter, ‘I think it’s bad’, only scolding which written the most (laugh). While thinking ‘Annoying’, I’m happy to get such a caring fan letter. I think I understand. I want to know how people see me. That’s why, sometimes I want fans to write my manual instruction. Don’t you really understand how I’ reflected?
-You’re right. Then how’s the fans’ existence for you?
Like the existence of lover (laugh). There’s an idol like that! I think that’s not completely wrong. If something happened, they’ll get really mad, they’ll be so worried. When my work is decided, they were more overjoyed than me. They’re really like a girlfriend.
-After hearing today’s story, you seem to be fulfilled now.
Yes. It’s enjoyable. Now everyday is fun. To talk about my desire on lot of things, things I want to do, also people I want to meet increase.
-What kind of things you want to do?
Usual things like doing variety shows with the members, TV shows and also radio program, also I want to appear as a guest.
-Then in 10 more years, what kind of group you want it to be?
There’s no need to hurry to think about what kind of group it will be. Because there are many things we haven’t done yet. We haven’t done dome tour, there are still a lot of things we want to do and we haven’t done yet. It’s not like we’ve grabbed onto anything yet.
-Last message to the members who welcome 10th year anniversary together.
I think none~ there’s nothing special.
-Is that so?
Because in good times, happy times, anytime, I’m going to tell it in that moment. Like ‘It’s so fun!’. That’s why I don’t have something to say, in the first place I don’t like myself being too formal to the other members.
