Thanksgiving 2016.

Seeing as I have American penfriends I thought I'd do one of these. Not quite an end of year round-up, but more of a 'taking stock' kinda post.

Obviously the past 5-odd years have been seriously tough on me, but once again my CRB is clear & I am in a position where I can rest & chill.

Taking stock etc.

So what do I have?

- An 80sq m3 flat with an 80sq m3 loft, all adapted to my needs. It's Social Housing on a lifetime contract too. I'm sorted here I have to say. My home is solid as a rock. You will require TNT...

- 2 bad-ass pussycats. Even if they're a bit stinky.

- Work is low, but stable. Enough to keep the dogs off of my back, but don't expect any luxuries any time soon.

- Access to Londinium, including being back on the quality gig circuit. Love those tunes & euro-babes :)

- Only 2 hrs to get home on the night-bus, to pretty-much 5 mins from my door. Next to a Forest and some Horse Pastures. Now that is useful.

- Decent Medical and Legal. Now, anyway. That Sgt lying was a big deal, as I was too poor to deal with him back then.

What do I need?

- The Benefits rules improved so that I can shack up with a hot bit of stuff like normal people can. Current discriminations are pretty damn disgusting I have to say.

- I still have PTSD, so pulling is gonna be difficult. With the community I was caught in for so long being so abusive & discriminatory to a man too ill to work, well, that will mess a person up. At least I am healing, but I think that I'm gonna need another couple of years of rest & chilling out. It's like what was done to me when I as 18 for the effect it has had. The same panic & desire to stay 'out of it' is back. For now anyway.

- That dodgy Sgt shut down, so that I can use Police Services again should I get caught in the wrong place at the wrong time in Croydon Central again. Bad luck is bad luck after all, and it can come back.

Yeah. Suppose that you could say 2/3 ain't bad. Could be better sure, but it has definitely been far worse.

I am certainly wary about all of the Satan references in parts of North London. It's pretty obvious as to which crowd is involved with those nights. Still, Slimes & the odd Dave Exile doo-dah are blatantly gang free; so that's fine by me.

An old face showed up from soton on Saturday Night. Yes, she who helped/ lied to the Angels down there as she tried to run her events & make some cash ( they ran the venues down there back then ). She honestly tried being friendly with me, after doing that.

It takes a special kinda crazy to permanently wreck a man's life to just make a few quid, and then try the ' no hard feelings ' argument on them. She has no moral compass at all I'm afraid.

I am loving EVE. Now it's free to play hopefully a few more of Mah Crew ( etc ) will be up for joining in. It costs about £70 in set up costs to get your characters all tuned up over that first 6 weeks of pretty intensive 'learning how the game works', but then you can sit back on just the subscription £10 a month for a good year without pumping any further cash in. Job'sa good'un etc. Plus the art is pretty damn nice, and some of your opponents are genuine military ( it's not a game for lightweights ).

It's cheaper than Warhamster :)

Yeah, that's not bad is it. 2/3 ain't bad.

Benefits being cut is going to be a worry. Next year etc. I'll still be ok, but it'll be tighter than it was this year ( it's been a good-ish year ). Last year & the year before were worse, and don't get me started on the Living Hell of the 2003 to 2008 period ( disgusting people doing disgusting things ).

I can't afford the likes of Boxpark. You can forget that one.

So, there you go. 2/3 ain't bad. At least I have a safe & warm roof over my head, and I'm close to London-town too. That is more than most these days, so I am still on the up it would appear.
