The problem with govt.

Is you always end up with the govt ( by 'eck ). And it's just not very useful.

Both the Tory's and New Labour are riddled with people telling porky pies to make a few quid. You always expect a little, but of late it's been pretty bad. And somehow I doubt that'll be inspiring to our allies.

A trust issue obviously. Much as Cameron should take the lead ( I agree wiff ze Cleggy ) he failed to get a majority. So he had a 'guaranteed' win, and ended up barely scraping up anything. After all that terrible work New Labour held. What does that tell you about Tory policy?

We need The States. We need Europe. Cameron flirted with the European Far Right. I'm pretty sure Bazza is a touch wary on this 'ally issue' at the minute due to this. US secrets falling into the hands of The Far Right as they chose to trust us? The States are family, you can't betray that gift of trust like that. Much as we need good border control ( due to our shape and target status with the people traffickers ) he's in with a crowd that do dance close.

He failed to get a majority. He made the calls. He failed. I think he's too distracted and angry, and this is why he made these mistakes. He's a human being afterall. It won't be clinical, as much as 'still in grieving'. But I do feel he needs to take his health more seriously after these fundamental cock-ups.

We need friends. No choice. That oil alone will not carry us. Well, not if you want to go on holiday abroad and not be jeered at etc etc. Explaining torture is going to be hard enough, without then dropping this little gem in. Cameron could have been great, but he wasn't.

One for voters to decide as we see what damage our relationships with Europe and The States have sustained. Our voting pattern is too predictable. And if that won't change then our MP's have to be much more accountable. 'Left a bit, right a bit' only works if you can trust the drivers you nominate.

And obviously, for me, it's the services issue I'm worried about. This govt needs to work though. We have to balance those books asap and we have no idea if that oil is good, or what we can get out of it if it is. Time to be realistic.

But Cameron and Osbourne have failed. Clearly. The Tory's need to ReThink, and with New Labour turning on each other... Not out the woods yet. The search for the winning combi.
