Oh my. 'Tis official. I have turned a large corner in my geekiness.
I have become -gasp- a Linux user!
What can I say? My laptop is aging, XP SP3 was giving me crap, Ubuntu Linux just released 8.10 which natively supports multiple screens, gas prices dropped below $2.50 so the programmer of the CrossOver products to run Windows programs on Linux & Mac gave them away free for a day... the stars aligned, and I jumped. I must say, so far I am very pleased, and when I build my desktop after Christmas it will most certainly be an XP/Ubuntu dual boot. A Win7/Ubuntu dual boot, whenever Win7 comes out (no way am I going to deal with Vista. No friggin way). I've always loved hacking into my own system, and Linux practically begs you to!
