*Anyone please feel free to discuss, offer feedback, and PLEASE include Scripture!
I was speaking to a friend and he reasserted to me that Chi Alpha is a cult. I prodded, because this is the second time we've had this discussion. Basically, he said he is a pantheist, and a bit agnostic, meaning he believes that everything is God, there is no one "higher power". He also said that because everything (particilarly himself) has power, then everything is God, or God couldnt be powerful. Although his arguement was confusing, I couldn't think of anything to really say that would shed light on the situation. Now, I KNOW that I am not in a cult by any means...but what do I say to combat this crazy theory of his?
My mind just blanked on me..
My Theory is that he was somehow hurt/offended/forced to believe a certian way (I happen to know that he was raised Baptist) and this in conjunction with other things is why he rejected God.
~ Any thing that you have to help me in explaining the faith, please feel free to offer. Thanks!~
