First post in 2012 and its been a long time comming
Wow, what a whirl wind...first let me say that yes im still greiving. Im of course in a different space on it. I still need to take the remainder of Philo's ashes to Vegas. I will bring them personally cause it just feels right to do that for him...it will be a year when im there...he died on the 25th of June the anniversary of my fathers death... I will be in Vegas with him on the 27th-28th...I think its fitting for him, for us.
Merkin has taken it in stride, but I think thats because she still sees Philo every day. I know when his ghoast is in the room by how she acts. She also cant stop rubbing against the glass urn I had him blown into. Poor thing even in death she still has to find ways to taunt and tease. But she has her own little taunt and tease now. She runs the place with an iron paw at the moment. Normally this would be unsettling, but well she doesnt have philo's um attention span. That makes it easy to break rules here.
As for new additions, Nougat is well..he will never be Philo. And thats ok, he doesnt have to be. He keeps Merkin on her toes, though she still beats him down. He chirps and its very sweet and endearing. I honestly think cute is what saves him, since he looks like a fuzzy gollum. Oh he steals..and by steal I dont mean just hair ties. So far he has taken, hair, ties, rings, necklaces, zip ties, earings, glasses, hats (yes full hats) charms, clothes pins, and a bunch of other things just too numorus to list. I think Trid was thought i was exaggerating till he started taking stuff that Trid actively noticed. Or perhaps it was when he tried to steal the earings out of his ears.
As for Trid, he is doing well, though he has started his own business. A house of hairless cats and entreprenures... I am only praying it works, considering business in its self is a big stress. But he is doing saussage and im making hats so the saussage, beaver, Merkin, Nougat jokes are plenty...."Honey, there's nougat in my beaver, get nougat out of my beaver!" "Great now you got Merkin all sticky, really we got to clean out Merkin." "Honey there's saussage on Merkin, get Merkin off the saussage." and lastly.." Get nougat out of the saussage..Nougat is all over the saussage." And the list is endless, now if we can star making rum balls the repretoir will be complete.
