an actual post and I wish the news were better
Sadly nothing supper fantastic to report. I've been busting my chops trying to help make ends meet. Lost my UE and as of this week so has our roommate so there's not even rent comming in. But I'm trying hard to get word out about my business and generate some new customers.
I suppose the up side is i'm motivated to be in my business every day. I can't see how I ever thought I could generate business doing this part time. I have friends with kids and I realize that this is my baby. I have to give it all the attention I have and time and energy and nurture it to grow.
I've also been getting lots of interest from friends who want to do shows with me. I'm all for it, but I do have to let people know that i'm working 110% on my business and if there are shows they want to be involved with then they need to step up and let me know. I'm also finding that there are shows that i'm going to just do by myself.
I have no second income and as much as I love my friends I can't wait for them to make a move. I have to actively go forward and sometimes that road is alone. So today I spent the day working on my power point presentationf for clients. Im hoping to get it done by the end of this week or next so I can start going door to door talking to businesses about my hats. I was waiting for another person and we'll still do it together as well. But I can't wait for her to get everything she needs in order because while I wait, I sink.
So i'm hoping that friends who want to hop on the show train with me also realize that as much as I'm an advocate for each of them. I can't let them dictate my actions on business stuff. I want to keep the group stuff going but I'll be working other ventures too and i'm open to letting people in on a few of them. But again there's always a point where you have to take charge of your own company and do what's best for it.
That said I hope everyone hangs in there...I'll be keeping all of you in my thoughts. Till next time.
