im in such a randomly productive mood - ive been super-organizing everything.
$10/week food budget starts today! bought eggs, milk, flour, cornflakes, and oatmeal. total was 8.16; i used the rest to buy a soda from the gas station, because i made fried kimchi! water just wasnt going to cut it (to save money, because i drink A LOT, and also that much carbonation is just not healthy.). not exactly the healthiest thing to start this off with, but ive been looking at that jar for weeks thinking about making it!
the kids dad came to pick them up yesterday and i discovered that he hasnt even bothered to learn my name, because i got 'thanks, lady' as i was leaving. wow. you know, ive only been watching your kids every week for the past several months, and my name is not exactly complicated. i swear, im trying to give him the benefit of the doubt, but the guy is just RUDE. plus im still pissed about last week when he flat-out never showed up to get his kids. i always try and make sure they're dressed and packed before he shows (because if theyre not he gets PISSED) - katie wanted to go ice skating, but i told her no, because we didnt have time. if it was their mom or her husband, i wouldnt worry, but even if their dad was the nicest guy on earth - he doesnt get to see them that often and hes on a schedule, i can respect that. i told her that we only had about an hour, and that wasnt enough time to go, rent skates, and have enough to skate before we would have to return the skates and drive home. she just rolled her eyes and said 'he wont be here on time anyway.' god thats so sad that they just expect him to never show up when hes supposed to.
GRRRRRRR. that guy just makes me want to punch things.

been watching my bsg dvds. ♥!! PILOTS!!! im about to pop in 'kobols last gleaming'. dude, there is no way that they werent doing it s1. absolutely no way.
im also just enjoying the show in general - the first time i watched it, i was basically watching it for pilots only. i powered through the whole series and kinda blocked out anything that didnt immediately catch my interest, so theres a lot that i missed. im liking helo and athena more and more. and now that im paying attention, im really appreciating the progression of baltar's delusion. things that i loved the first time around that i love even more: billy and roslin. its adorable how much they care for each other. roslin/adama, OBVIOUSLY. if you can watch bsg and NOT 'ship roslin/adama, i question your sanity. kara and leoben. i 'ship katee/callum pretty hardcore...not kara/leoben, but their chemistry is off the charts HOT. and just callum himself...WHEW! even more: ADAMA AND TIGH ♥♥&hearts!!!!! i can only hope that when im that old and crotchety, i have as awesome of a bff as tigh thats still by my side.
no school tomorrow for mlk day. YAY FOR MORE BSG WATCHING!!
