(no subject)
*YAWN*
I popped into work (Ikea) last Wednesday just before closing & found out that Lolly had quit; it's a complicated story but I just hope she ends up happy. We had dinner at Cantina - steak this time with horseradish puree & red wine mushrooms... YUMMO.
I met mum for lunch on Thursday at Coffee Club which is turning into a weekly event which is kind of nice. Work was busy all afternoon & as usual, Tony & I kept ourselves amused by taking the piss out of each other every chance we got. Cam & I had dinner together again & he recommended some books to me. Work was a bit quieter the rest of the night & I got to help Daz build products for our end podium displays which was cool - I love building stuff!
Sue was recruiting people again on Friday but she asked me first if I wanted more hours which was nice but I have to keep turning it down! Our new Supervisor kept us busy all day with jobs ('can you do me a favour?' - she reminds me of the Seinfeld episode where they're at a party & the host keeps asking them to do favours!) I still haven't seen her pick up a box. Our other new Supervisor starts this week which will be interesting. Whizzed past Uncle Billy's for dinner.
I had Saturday off so G & I had a great day shopping! We went to the new Elizabeths Warehouse in Fremantle which was awesome (I bought 4 books & 3 for dad) I took G to lunch at Australia's Finest Burgers in Subi which is SO YUM (I had the chicken satay burger again) & then we went to Dick Smith so I could buy a new Ipod as my Ipod Photo keeps freezing itself. I got an Ipod Classic in Silver 80gb! WHOO!
Voting - last election, G made us line up at the school in the next street so we were waiting for an hour & a half! So this time, we went to Karrinyup primary school & we were in and out in 5mins! Much better.
Then we went to Karrinyup where we ran into my cousin Trish so she I spent the rest of the afternoon shopping for clothes & shoes. Garry kept sms'ing me to come over all night to have drinks & play Singstar but I was too tired!
Fathers Day - G dropped me off at my parents' & then went off to his. I think for the first time ever, I took Dad out to lunch, just him & me. Usually we do it as a family but mum said she wasn't upset so I took Dad down to Dome/Scarbs & we had a great lunch and a talk as usual. It's funny, even though I'm adopted, Dad & I are so similar & we get along so well... it's really great. I'm so so lucky.
We waddled from the table down to look at the beach & then we drove to Hillarys & back along West Coast Drive (we always used to do this together after I played tennis on weekends) On the way back, we stopped at a Mr.Whippy van & ate our icecreams in the freezing cold wind! It was a great day!
I spent all last night reading old magazines (so I can throw them out) & I've started to burn my CD collection onto my Mac so I can then put them onto my Ipod & sell the CDs!
6 days of work to go & I'm exhausted already!
I want more weekends off!!!
